SADLY...(if this thread is still being read by anybody)
I had not checked my Hellcat for a few months. The Hex was replaced in October and I have had it out for cleaning and a range visit since then, but not for a while.
I pulled it out of my safe today and the Hex is again dead. I am going...
I think it necessary to include a kudos to SA....I dropped my hellcat:oops: indoors and it landed on the top of the Wasp. Glass cracked and shroud had a slight dent. I contacted Springfield and was advised to send it in for inspection.
I sent it in about the first of September and just...
I got lucky and found a local gun store that had a gunsmith on site. He sorted it out in about 5 minutes...no charge. Hope I will be able to return the courtesy with a purchase soon.
He did confirm that the screws are soft and that he is seeing this problem often.
He says 19 lbs max on the...
First...interesting....the latest replacement I just received is adjusting to the light conditions. The previous ones did not as far as I was able to determine. This one is obvious. Hopefully, that is a good sign that something is diferent.
I have a new problem. In taking off the plate to...
Just received notice that my 2nd replacement is on the way after about 4+ weeks.
This will be my 3rd Wasp.
I am not amused by this.
I have very little confidence that the problem is solved.
I have a very small bit of hope.
Bummer...
It looks like the drifting red dot (described above) was just the precursor to another battery failure on this replacement.
I have requested another RMA and can just hope that the issue will be resolved by the time I get the next replacement. I do not hold out much hope in as much...
A bit off topic of the battery life.
I have two Wasps. One has been returned and replaced for dead battery problems. The other seems normal.
But...on the replacement unit I am having a problem with acquiring the red dot without a great deal of effort. I actually think it is turning off and...
Where is Springfield on this issue. Why do we not hear from them?
I would be more sympathetic to the issue if they would interact a bit with us on this forum.
I have been a staunch supporter of Springfield in the past...but have lost my confidence in their service support and quality control.
Received the replacement for the battery dead Wasp.
So far the (only 2 weeks) the battery is holding up.
One observation is the the dot seems to be noticeably brighter. Not a bad thing.
I sent my Wasp back to factory by FedEx on 17 January. Factory acknowledged receipt 7 days later on 24 January.
I have not had any further communication from them as of 3 January, 10 days after they received the unit.
