I think the new round is trying to address that. Lethality and reliability is what matters to those down range. 5.56 is great if using a shorty in cqb to a point though drugged up bad guys made even shorties come up lacking. Combat arms requires hard hitting weapons a nd they are more desirable...

I like compact .45 1911's to be honest. Nothing like being able to beat a perp to death with your primary if it comes down to it LOL 😆 😅 😂 🤣 🙃. I also think they are beauties. My ultra carry two is a thing of beauty. That said my edc 99% of the time is my 3" xd in .40

I agree it's like someone crying because people like buying sports cars imho. Buy what you want if you can afford a fun 1911 more power to you. I own a few Kimbers and I enjoy em. I use an XD tactical for duty and an XD Snuby for edc.

I have carried a tactical in .40 for years at work. I really like it it feels 1911 ish to me for some reason. I also like being able to pop in a .357 sig barrel.
