I’ve got a 632UC. It’ll probably replace the 51C .22WMR as a common carry…it’s a lot less recoil, with much faster follow-ups (verified by timer) than a 442. The 43C (and 51C) are even faster…and multiple fast hits tend to trump caliber (see the Ellifritz study).
But I have no qualms carrying...
I would think that it should mostly be a refinish, replace the tritium lamps, and maybe some lenses, for the most part.
Then again, the Marines have been known to play pretty hard with their toys…
My 327 TRR8 (two piece barrel) will hold with my 27’s and 28’s with no problem. It’s actually a bit more accurate than most of them, truth be told.
And it even has a lock! 😱
These aren’t designed for front line troops; more for support and/or close action/CQB.
And a whole bunch of holes, really fast, tend to work just as well or even better than just bigger one.
TMJ bullets are typically plated, not jacketed, and can cause issues in some comps/porting.
Little known fun fact: Lawman TMJ is the exact same bullet that Blazer uses.
As to it working in your comp/porting: it’ll probably spit jacket. But if you wouldn’t shoot Blazer or another plated...
The one on the right is a S&W 43C, 8-shot .22LR. Carries nicely in the pocket, and is very controllable & accurate.
4-6” “field pistols” are not required.
I’ve done Simunitions training.
Your hands get the CRAP shot out of them…and it HURTS.
I practice one handed shooting all the time; usually in the “speed rock” hip presentation.
I can usually bust a clay/hit a beer can at 10 feet doing it.
