I’ve only fired 22MAG through a Ruger Single action revolver. Never fired anything but Remington or Winchester brands. It’s just flat out fun to shoot and really accurate 🤠

I left SoCal in ‘79 to join the Army. Been back twice. Once after I completed all my training in ‘81 and again in’05 to bury my mom. I’ll never go back again. It sickens me to what it has become.
I remember reading about the problems the crew members and maintenance crews had with the Panthers. They rushed them into the fight with issues. Another problem was with the variates of the Tiger. They had so many variations that parts became a major issue.

They were Top Dog in the PTO ( Pacific Theater of Operations) but were outgunned in Europe. General Patton’s suggestions for the Sherman fell upon deaf ears. It wasn’t until later in the war that the decision makers finally listened and ordered the upgrades.
One of the features of the Echelon that I appreciate is the “Charging Handle” on the back face of the slide. You’ll find that it’s easy to use once you get used to it.
It doesn’t get as hot during sustained firing.

Yes, after sustained fire it will get hot. Knowing this, I’ll only use the slide stop or the back of the slide during reloads. I do wear gloves occasionally because they were a required part of our PPE.
