    Undocumented Immigrant Due Process

All the hand wringing about the deportations of gang members makes me think of the mothers and grandmothers in my area who almost always talk about how innocent and what a “good boy” their son/grandson was when an innocent victim dispatches a thug trying to rob or kill them. We are letting an...

Colorado Considering Ban on So-Called “Assault Weapons”

Missouri is a great state. I wouldn’t mind living there and have considered it several times.

14 year old hoodlum fatally shot in Albuquerque

A similar thing happened in my neighborhood several years ago, only the perp said he was being chased by someone and his life was in danger. The homeowner did not have a gun but did have a baseball bat. He held the perp until the police arrived. In hindsight, if he had happened to have a gun...

    Considerations for Off-Body Carry

Sounds like a fun trip, Bob. Just be sure your finger nail polish is coordinated with your outfits like the woman in the picture. :)

House Judiciary Committee Prepares to Advance Key Second Amendment Legislation

This is probably going to suffer the same fate as all the bills a few years ago repealing “Obama Care.”

Colorado Considering Ban on So-Called “Assault Weapons”

Old thread, but I just read that the bill is now expected to pass and be signed by the governor. Sad for Colorado and for all of us. There are a lot of folks, even on our forum here, who have spent their working lives in states offering less freedom to citizens, but plan to move to a “free...

How to Handle a Traffic Stop While Carrying a Concealed Handgun

Thanks Mike. When you get quite a few sunrises behind you, there is a tendency to forget things. Reading articles like this one is helpful in keeping the synapses working.

Gun Culture or Gun Community: There IS a Difference and It’s an Important One

What about those of us who partially fit in both groups? I guess like Belt Fed said, we are just plain gun nuts!

Little Range Report - SW 432 UC Ti

I see what the problem is. You have faulty targets. Some of them have big holes in the center! :)

    Warning Shots

Sometimes you just need to get somebody’s (or something’s) attention! I would (most of the time) prefer a warning shot when the attacker has four legs rather than two. If the noise and flash will deter them, it is a win-win! :)

Study: Concealed Carriers Do A Better Job Of Stopping Active Shooters Than Police

Thanks for the link, Shannabe. Like Lo~Profile said, armed citizens are already there. It would be interesting to see the statistics of how many people were shot by the villain in each of the compared situations. I wonder if in the case of armed citizens (since they are already “there”), if...

stabbing of a home owner here

When something like this happens in your neighborhood, it brings home how dangerous the current world we live in really is. Hang in there, Old-me!

Transforming your existing qualification into an unlimited skill assessment

I agree with the premise of the article. When prowling around on the internet reading about all the training offered and how much folks talk about it, I have often thought and sometimes asked the question “how good is good enough?” I have read quite a few reports of people who just bought...
