If I recall correctly, In years past due to natures destruction property owners in Florida had several major insurers stop writing policies. The Stated kicked in to help subsidize cost and availability of insurance. Maybe other States should look into doing the same or come up with a program...

The new pin that came with the Dawson Magwell is longer. once you have the Magwell installed, I used the new pin to punch out the old one. since it is a bit longer it will keep the part locked into place.

I get what you're saying....I have had the same thing happen recently. My new Ronin 10mm came just like that and as you said I went looking for another mag or two but none to be had in the Springfield store. In the end I went to Ed Brown and bought "2" of his. I haven't tried them out yet other...

I see your point but just wonder why other manufactures such at Sig seem to pretty much use the sights from one model to another. Other than the hight. Heck like I said earlier on I would be happy if the manufacture would just list what sight came on the weapon new. That would give something...

I love my steel CZ's...you won't go wrong.

It sure would be nice if gun makers would adapt a single style or version instead of having to guess. Better yet have the sight info printed in the gun manual. at least that would give some of us a reference to go by.

Can they be that difficult to install? or just another reason to void someone's warranty. I guess I thought replacing the sights would be similar to changing sights on many other pistols. It seems that's not the case.

In the end things turned out pretty good. Next time wear a helmet and face shield. ;-)

In order to more easily get at the sear spring. A few weeks back I went to install a mag well on my Prodigy. I wasn't thinking when removing the pin at the bottom that force would push the main spring housing out. That force made the sear spring dislocate and needless to say something pretty...

I am a bit lost when it comes to disassembling and reassembly of the thumb safety my Prodigy. In several 1911 threads I see the hammering being cocked when removing and installing of the thumb safety. In a few others it wasn't so clear. What will happen if the hammer is left in the down position...
