How Turkey Is Capturing The Budget Hunting Firearm Market

You're not wrong here at all. If I ever have to have a system replaced again, I'll be paying for a home inspector to come in and do a specific AC inspection as part of the acceptance/final payment process. Never trust the companies themselves, and where possible save money buying the unit...

    Grip tape

Oh, I enjoy defeating internet tropes. This place is full of them... will be fun.

I did. I said exactly that. That's what you replied to.

Which is the point I made... that you're arguing against.

Your grips haven't worn any - at all - in the process of firing 1000 rounds?

    Grip tape

What's BS? That after shooting some number less than 1000 rounds, the grips won't be as "sharp" as they are out of the factory box? Given the friction, sweat, etc. that entails, enlighten us on why the plastic grips on a plastic frame won't soften and dull their edges in the slightest during...

Fair enough. Only Croatian for you. :) Personally, I'm very happy with at least some of the production quality of our NATO ally.

    Less than 1000 rounds. :)

I'm honestly not making fun of you, but the texture on a polymer gun was too aggressive for you? Generally, shooting it more will fix that.

I wouldn't classify the level of machining, fit and finish on my TISAS guns to be shoddy, at all. Easily on par if not better than some of my Springfields. My TISAS Match is probably on par with my Dan Wessons.

My Winchester SXP, Turkish made, runs great. I also own a Tokarev semi-auto, but it's a ranch gun so I haven't put much wear on it. Bought it because it lives in a storage container at 140 degrees half the year. Under $150 including the FFL fee.

    Grip tape

I’m about to add some to tame a new grip while I break it in. My hands after three sessions this week with an MPA DS9 aggressive grip and very soft/low power 9mm in a 52 oz comped gun:

Much of this is because of the exchange rate difference in the dollar and the Turkish lira. With that changing, the economics will change, too. As for manufacturers, they have really good ones (Tisas, annd Girsan’s beretta reproduction lines) and really bad ones (Girsan’s factories for 1911’s...

    Reddot

Even among competitive shooters, opinions vary. Some was 8 to 12 MOA, others want 2 to 3. I personally prefer 4 to 6 MOA - big enough to see at speed, but not so big I can’t aim at a specific part of the a zone on a target or a 10” plate at a distance. On a rifle not for competition, I like 2...

    AOS Plate question

Welcome to the block list. I don't mind being called an asshole for asking questions that you weren't willing to answer before heading down the asshole path yourself.

    AOS Plate question

Yet I don't see an actual answer from you. That also speaks volumes. Under-torquing and over-torquing - especially with the use of loctite - is a common cause of not just damaging screws, but the threads you're setting them into on the gun. Common across all optics, not just the AOS plates...

    Prodigy comp (any better?)

What torque are you using on the plate-to-gun screws, and are you using any sort of threadlocker (which changes the appropriate torque value)? Are you re-using screws or replacing them? I was that member... and the advice stands. Most people aren't using a torque wrench, and if they are...

    Prodigy comp (any better?)

Not supposed to do that according to who, and why? That's not a valid test of any component of any XX11 gun. If it's because "that's what people on the internet said," those are the people who don't understand how guns work. Listening to them will get you bad advice on how to spend money to...

    Prodigy comp (any better?)

I've never had my slide hang up while firing, or even while pulling the slide fully to the rear and releasing. Folks that are balancing it on the disconnector by hand are doing something that will never happen during live fire and creating issues for "views." Surprisingly, my 3.5 is an...
