I only use Speer Gold Dots and Federal HST 124gr in all of my edc carries including my 1911's.

Target ammo can be finicky when it comes to accuracy. I would buy a quality self defense ammo in 124gr and bench rest test the gun. Then make adjustments to the sights if necessary.

What are the handgun restrictions? The Echelon should be compliant already if the only restrictions are mag capacity.

I have green dots on my home defense and other guns, but not on my edc. I've found that my edc with a dot is bulkier and harder to conceal with the way I carry.
