Yep, thanks, I know that now. But it being my first AR I got a little bad advise in the beginning. Thankfully I only bought 2 boxes, and still have some of it left. No more steel case for my AR!

My first also, I bought the same Ruger model #8500 over the M&P for the same reason, the 1:8 rifling. It eats any ammo I have fed it except Tulammo steel case, it hung up constantly. It shoots any brand 55 gr I fed it so far just fine but it actually feels more solid somehow and sounds better...

Wish I could do that. My eyes just blur a little when looking thru sights, scopes or red dots. At least my shooting is good enough to give'em a real bad day! 😉

Same here. Haven't watched a game since all that crap started and Mr. Brady went to federal court to get his NFL punishment for cheating removed ... because he was more important than the sport itself!

Some of the older MK II were also barrel stamped Government Target (special government specs for their target gun). They are 6.88" bull barrel and were manufactured differently than the other MK II's. The chambers were manufactured differently also, don't know what, but it made this little...

I can't see well enough at far distances to distinguish any target nor am I steady enough to hit long range targets any more ... maybe when I was younger. The rifles, especially today, are so accurate (in the right shooters hands) it's incredible. I watched one of the precision shooting...

So of course I wanted to shoot at least a few shots through the new rifle. It snowed Monday & Tuesday and it's supposed to snow Thursday & Friday but it was clear today though very cold, 7° with a -1° wind chill. So off to the range I went. It's a good thing the range is just minutes away...

Yep, my Marlin model 60 is very ammo particular. It likes CCI Mini Mags, Winchester Super X and some old Thunderbolt I have. Will not cycle with Remington High Velocity, they jamb and get dented trying to load.

This 10/22 Takedown Lite #21152 has a $839 MSRP but I've seen it in a few stores for $699 and you still have to get some sights, scope, red dot, etc. for it.

I think I paid $60 for my Marlin Model 60 back around 1985.

I just bought the 10/22 Collector's Series for $342. The price definitely does go up when you get into all the takedown models.
