Not when you consider that the 38 +P out of a snubby barrel is almost as effective as the .357 from a snubby barrel and you don't have to deal with the recoil of a .357. If you like carrying a .357 in a 3 or 4 inch, then by all means.....

I am uncomfortable with striker fired pistols of any manufacturer unless they have some form of a manual safety. I don't think the Sig 320 is any worse or any better than any other striker fired pistol, but I do think their design might make them more sensitive to the normal +/- tolerances...

Yep! I keep a sheet of paper with a running total in each ammo can and 'odds and ends' ammo not in a can is kept on a separate pad.

That seems to be a fairly common occurrence. Why doesn't Springfield make sure they work before they leave the factory? "a very quick trip to SA" would indicate that it didn't take much to fix it. It seems this could have just as easily been fixed before shipping without much more effort.

I wondered about why all my mags said 15 round and yet Springfield said the XDM Elite's were shipped with 16 round mags, so I called them. They told me that the mags themselves are indeed 15 round but the XDM Elite's were shipped with the 16 round extension baseplate thus making them 16 round...

Since my last post I went through all of my mags, taking off the 16 round base plate and putting on the 15 round base plate on each one and none of the mags with the 15 round base plate would stay inserted with the magwell installed! It's apparent that the magwell was not designed to accept...

What Pitdogg2 says is spot on! The mags with my gear up package all came with the extended base plate already on them, along with a couple a couple of the 15 round base plates in case I wanted to switch them. The 16 round mags required some effort to insert them even with the extra surface...

I have heard that the Staccato magwell and the Dawson magwell can be a tight fit and you need to use a small hammer to tap them on. Haven't heard anything about having to use a file.
