I installed an entry lockset on our bedroom door when I worked nights and the wife was home alone. I'm retired now but we still use it.

I haven't modified any of my auto loaders yet. If I thought sights or a trigger job was needed, I wouldn't hesitate. I did mod it Redhawk and a Blackhawk years ago. That was for target shooting. You do you.

I believe they have a low capacity version.

When I'm considering a hand gun purchase, I'll grip it, bring it up to firing position and see if the sights line up without changing my grip.

In hand guns, I to like two of each caliber that I own.

I only have a xd-m elite 4.5 10mm and a hellcat. Both with open sights.
