    Help Goose pick an XD

Smith seems to have really worked the triggers on the 2.0s from guys I know that run them. I wouldn’t think twice about getting a new M&P if the price were too good to ignore. They seem like a better mousetrap today than the Glock. More features, more ergonomic. Kinda like a fat toothpick...

New Products to be announced by Smith & Wesson

So were the Ruger Six-series 357 revolvers. Bill Ruger was said to have claimed to have actually lost money on them. But I'll be darned if I am going to sell any of my 3 Six-series revolvers!

Happy Days - The US Congress has passed H.R. 1, which includes provisions impacting the regulation of suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs

Agree, however I am under no illusion that things could be cleaned up and final once and for all, for I am always in fear of the next administration’s assault on our most basic and fundamental rights.

Happy Days - The US Congress has passed H.R. 1, which includes provisions impacting the regulation of suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs

In a very general sense without delving too deeply into the previous SCOTUS position, no tax, no NFA. So I suppose if the NFA is now back in front of SCOTUS, it gets eliminated once and for all….so goes the thinking.

How do you cycle your carry ammo?

I like rotating my tires….every other oil change. Ammo? Why? A solution in search of a problem? Hmmmm…..maybe I need to rotate my shocks? Coil springs? Seriously, I don’t see the need/point. I’d also not want to cycle/recycle for fear of bullet setback. But that’s just me. YMMV.

Happy Days - The US Congress has passed H.R. 1, which includes provisions impacting the regulation of suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs

I don’t disagree with your position, just offering an alternate theory as to why some are in favor of the tax. Do you have a theory as to why the tax has its supporters?

Happy Days - The US Congress has passed H.R. 1, which includes provisions impacting the regulation of suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs

Let me offer this …. perhaps some want there to be a minimal barrier to entry ? Spend even 10 minutes at your local gun show and you’ll see someone, maybe several people, who probably shouldn’t own a firearm in the first place.(think Darwin Award candidate) The tax may - to the way of thinking...

GOA to File ‘One Big Beautiful Lawsuit’ Against NFA Registry

Will be interesting to watch, that’s for sure. Registration will now be eliminated on Supreme Court challenge, because the only reason the NFA was allowed to start with was that the Supreme Court, back when first challenged, ruled that it survives only because there is a tax involved in it...

You HAVE to get rid of a gun in your collection...

Oofff! Missed that one. Does remind me that we have a H&R .410 in the laundry room connected to the garage that I would not miss! That thing is a POS!

    Texas Bans Red-Flag Laws

Just another example of legislating responsibility that went horribly wrong at inception. I know judges who said from the bench they would not enforce such absurd legislation if a case landed on their docket.

The Best Small Revolver: Smith & Wesson's Model 640

I had one, mine was marked 38 Special, not +P, but I could just never warm up to it. I almost sent it to TK Customs to be cut for moon-clips and chambered 9mm. Wound up selling it for a little more than I had in it.

You HAVE to get rid of a gun in your collection...

You guys can't think outside the (handgun) box. OP didn't specify, SO if I had to dump one, it would be my twenty-plus-year old Benelli Super Nova shotgun. I have used it as my primary waterfowl gun for years and still can't seem to destroy it. I have other shotguns, so I could live...

What the hell are you doing, Glock?

(Shrugs) I guess Glock has to do something to remain relevant. I bought my first Glock about 1985-87. A 17. Even then, my thought was ok, this is a paradigm shift in design. And I was a High Power user and (still) a 1911 junkie. Today, however, we’ve seemed to have evolved the “platform” to...
