Mine doesn't have the optic. I forget what holster I use for mine. It was a leather one that I remolded, was originally pretty tight. Maybe for a G17 or FN 45 Maybe a 1911 railed model holster

Yes, it can be used as a hunting rifle. I prefer bolt action guns hunting here. When I lived in PA my deer hunting rifle was a Mosin Nagant M38 I bought for $49. It had been bubba'd badly when bought.
