New Rifles Chambered In 6.5mm Creedmoor Heading To U.S. Special Operations Armories

Ok, I’ll bite. If the new 6.8x 51/.277 Sig Fury is the bestest, why are we buying 6.5 Creedmoor’s? And if the Creedmoor is that good ( and it basically is) why are we spending big $$ on grossly overpriced/grossly over pressure ammo and the fancy/schmantzy rifles to use it? Inquiring minds...

Active Shooter at U of Arkansas in Fayetteville

Someone wanting to spread fear. I think anybody reporting something like this falsely should face domestic terrorism charges, because That IS what it is. So glad your daughter and the other folks there are ok. Can’t imagine the stress they (and you) were under.

    Best optics

Good advice. That super fine target crosshairs may be great on the range but it’s not worth a lot when Bambi’s Dad is trotting through the woods 150 yards our.

    Chamber Safety Flags

I worked as a Safety and Fire Protection Engineer for 46 years. The Industrial Hygienist who worked for me loved to point out all the labels/caution stickers on literally everything (Caution: coffee may be hot”🙄). Mike would always point out that some moron had actually “done” what the sticker...

    American Gun Culture is Changing

One big thing to remember. Years ago when I was a pup, hunting was a Big Deal. All the boys I grew up with had Dads who hunted and taught them, thus gettting kids “into” firearms. Today hunting is down a lot and a huge % of kids are never exposed to shooting (except by those wonderful...

National Rifle Association has teamed up with local allies

I’m an NRA Patron member-have been for years. Wayne & Co. should be in jail for the way they screwed up the organization and for the $$ the effectively “stole”. I’m glad to see them gone and hope we get the “old NRA” back. Like it or not, they are the big dog in town and they are our best...

    Different

For a carry gun, I want it as small and concealable as I can get it while still being something I can conceal, wear comfortably, and shoot accurately. Buying a small ultracompact and then adding bulk/mass to ME seems counterintuitive. Ymmv

    Go get that firearm! (AZ)

I think it’s irresponsible to expect the local LEO’s to be on scene in time to stop/prevent crime. A handful of individuals cannot possibly be everywhere exactly when needed. Hence the need to take responsibility for your own safety. I live in the country. At night there is a better...

    Deciding on new EDC

Second this. Similar size/look to a 365, BUT is a single action concealed hammer pistol. Mine has the ambi safety so it’s easy to carry and about as “safe” as a firearm is going to be. Very nice trigger for a plastic gun, quite accurate as well.

Japanese Last-Ditch Small Arms Of World War II

I wrote a paper on this in college years ago entitled “The Humane Use of the Atomic Bomb in the Second World War”, key points being fighting to a conventional conclusion would have cost millions of lives, whereas the bomb merely killed a couple hundred thousand…

    calling all financial wizards

What’s the old saying “a boat is a hole in the water you fill with money😏”. Seriously though, be VERY wary of anything without a clear title upfront, else wise you may wind up holding the bag with a boat you can’t use and you can’t sell. Buyer beware.

Gun Review: Ruger American Ranch Rifle

I never fooled with anything heavier than a varmint round back when I lived in Illinois decades ago-couldn’t hunt with the heavier calibers (well, I guess you could shoot whistle pigs and ‘totes with a heavy caliber if you chose to)

    Holster for edc

Try a muddy river tactical orb. Leather, fits well and comfortable. And not expensive. Good folks to do business with. The only iwb I can wear (comfortably) is an Alien gear with the pad between the gun and you.
