Uninformed? Yes. But, I would still imagine that less than 1% of Americans today could tell you what a flying boat is - much less what the PBY was. Most folks are pretty ignorant about history.

A rest at 7 yards doesn't turn in good results? Wow. What did Springfield Armory tell you when you contacted them about it? Mine does very well, but 200 yards is well outside of my skill level. I used to be able to hit at 100 yards - but that was several years (and eyeglass prescriptions) ago. ;)

I'd buy one. Especially it was compatible with Echelon magazines (and a 30+ round Echelon magazine was released.)

I'm not taking a position on the article or battle, but learning from history - especially possible mistakes - helps us to make better decisions in the future. We absolutely should examine this battle and learn what we can from it.

The F-14 shown does have an Aardvark consistent with VF-114. The lions of VF-213 look nothing like that.

I'm not trying to convince anyone that they aren't ugly, but I did shoot one of the shorter barreled Rhinos once with full-power .357 Mag loads. It was a pretty soft shooter - more akin to a 38 than a magnum. Still couldn't pocket carry one like a Smith, but the tech seemed to work.
