Sorry you had to put up with that crap after your service, and thank you for it.

What would you recommend to a non-gun person for concealed carry?

Have heard that reliability with the SA 911 platform can be hit and miss. Likewise with Kimber, and must admit that my Kimber Micro 9 is one of the “less than reliable” ones and that is why I did some research and finally settled on the SA Ronin EMP 3”. It now has over 1250 rounds through with...

Pistols on Campus: Story of the Shooting Team at Hillsdale College

This is a cool article. Only 53 schools nationwide that have a varsity shooting team! Way too few!

TexasforLife, my whoops! 🤦‍♂️ Was trying to bootstrap to your reply where you quoted Bassbob. Trying to ditto your ditto, but ended up being too clever -by half!

I agree. Some cherry-picking is required, and it does help to see whose reviewing. Definitely, like Travis' stuff.

Range Report: SIG P365XL Spectre — Battle Worn

Completely agree with using it/earning it, rather than buying it. Will this be nicknamed the "Poseur" edition?

    First Springfield

Welcome, and congrats. Like you, I am a Kimber owner, but wanted to try a Springfield. No regrets, other than why did I wait so long?!

Look what followed me home today

There are been some reports indicating that after 500 rounds or so the false reset disappeared. I also found some threads from tinkerers/gunsmiths who have figured out the cause of the reset. Quotes from two different posts: "Pay attention to the firing pin block safety. Its where the false...

What would you recommend to a non-gun person for concealed carry?

Softest/easiest shooting first: Beretta Bobcat Sig P238 S&W CSX or Kimber Micro 9 with 8 round mag Sig 365 Sig P938 (pretty snappy, I found) I have owned or shot the above and above been especially impressed with the accuracy of the Kimber and the CSX out to 25' Have not yet shot a Beretta...

    Ronin 9mm accuracy?

Did you try a shooting bag/bag rest on a bench? Isolate the firearm as much as possible and exercise trigger control. No squeezing with the three amigos when you fire. Use steady and even pressure when you hit the wall so that you're almost surprised when the shot goes off.

    Allen West to Oust Lapierre?

It's a private, member-run shooting club/range with by-laws requiring on-going membership to the NRA as a necessary qualification for joining. Joining through the range provides a discount to the member and money back to the club. I don't have an issue with all this, as I do care about the 2A...
