great find, ya can't beat the old rifles and pistols. I have the Winchester 62A model, S,L, and long rifle.

I loaded up 5 with the 1.5 and 5 with 5.5 in empty 9mm cases. The 5.5 seemed just a tad bit louder. I loaded them up again and shot them in the dark to see if maybe the 5.5 had more sparks or fire out the muzzle, but they both looked the same in length and color. Thanks ya'll for the info.

So the 5 1/2 primers have thicker cup and are hotter than the 1 1/2? Tomorrow i'm gonna load 5 empty cases with the 1.5 and 5 with the 5.5 fire them off and see if they sound the same.The max load for a 124gr. is 4.1 gr. on their web site. thanks for info

Might be game warden looking for outlaws spot lighting deer. They do it here ,late pm ,early am in a lil cessna with lights off and engine rpm just enuff to keep it flying.

Everytime we pluck 1 we always manage to loose the lil pop up thing that lets you know when its cook enuff. Don't need it anyway.

I carry a thunder. for the money it's one of the safest guns out there. Ran about 500 rnds thru it polished up some parts on the inside, she's good to go.
