    40 caliber Prodigy

Overdramatic much? There aren't that many semiauto handgun calibers that are still in statistically significant production numbers. Not everyone is happy or just wants to shoot 22lr, 380 ACP, 9mm, 45 ACP, and 10mm. There would STILL be shortages during panic buying. People would buy up more of...

    40 caliber Prodigy

Sadly, it's cool and the in thing to dislike .40, so it will never happen. The only sheeple will like .40 again is if L.E. and the military start issuing it. Then they'll jump back on the Love Boat.

    40 caliber Prodigy

I would rather there be a .40 S&W that came with or had aftermarket 9mm and 357 SIG barrels vs a 9mm or even 10mm. I like .40 better than both 9mm, .45, and 10mm for carry as I'm a free thinker, so I haven't jump on the undeserved sheeple hate bandwagon. I personally think it's silly to hate or...

    S&W 686-6

But that's not what he purchased and your post didn't really differentiate between the two. I don't own any non-steel frame revolvers, but I read from multiple sources that they can be snappy with +p. I agree with you that wadcutters, and stand 38 non JHP, maybe a great option in those...

    S&W 686-6

No, there are many examples on YouTube and done by members of other forums who aren't just firing one round. There are a handful of reliable and very manageable 38 +P currently on the market that expand reliably out of a 2" barrel. While I will agree wadcutters are a good choice in Airweight...

    S&W 686-6

Not true at all. There are plenty JHP options in all common defensive calibers that do well out of shorter barrels. That might not have been the case decades ago, but it is now. At defensive distances that snubs will be utilizes, I don't believe it matters whether one chooses JHP, wadcutters...

    S&W 686-6

The GP100 also comes with 7 rounds and is the better choice, IMHO. You should pick one up too.

If I'm picking for myself, none of those.

    A FIST FULL OF DOLLARS

You listed a bunch of pistols that are in different weight, size, and trigger type categories. You didn't list anything about what you're looking for in a EDC.

    165 Grain 40 S&W Is It Dead?

That's not what he was saying or at least how I read it. He was basically say that in general, most commercial 10mm is watered down.

Well bite me on my ……..

Younger people are still reading, but it's online and in digital form rather than in text. They also get a lot of the same information in video form. Other than that, I've been a member of many forums where most of the members are older and retired, and they are just as grumpy and argumentive as...

Well bite me on my ……..

Well, most big box stores have stop selling firearm related magazines years ago. There's the fact that, unfortunately, you're in the minority of those who care about getting a paper copy. It's typically cheaper and more efficient to go digital.

Interesting Article (IMO) on How P320 Debate Could Affect All Carry Guns

Not sure I follow what you're saying.

What an experience at the gun shop. Don’t think I’ll go there again.

No, I used common sense based on how I know the process works as well as reading comprehension. Turns out I was right on the money....

What an experience at the gun shop. Don’t think I’ll go there again.

I just used common sense and reading comprehension I suppose, but I could be wrong. It's not not typical practice for any gun shop to order a gun they don't have in stock, especially under their GSSF program, especially when it's for a newer customer. Then there the fact that the OP went through...

His LGS ordered it for him. More than likely funds were transferred BEFORE the order was placed for the wrong gun. There might very well be more to the story though, you never know. I don't believe the MSRP for the G44 is near the G22, so that should have been a clue that something was off....

Why You May Want a Laser on Your EDC Pistol

The facts are the majority of Americans and first world countries now use GPS to navigate. Over 170 million Americans use a GPS system (not including their phones). Added to that, over 70% of smart phone users use navigational apps. The overwhelming majority of Americans no longer using paper...

Why You May Want a Laser on Your EDC Pistol

99.99% of the time GPS maps are generally accurate in real time with current traffic, obstacles, crashes, speed traps, road closures, etc. One could also download and enable auto updates so that they still have access to a map even when they lose signal.... Well, as someone who was also alive...

Why You May Want a Laser on Your EDC Pistol

For 100 years people got to their destinations using compasses and/or paper maps. I reckon I could get where I'm going just as well using those tools, but utilizing modern technology sure makes a lot of things a lot easier and faster. For me, red dots and lasers help with shooting from...
