I strongly suggest you look at used revolvers. There are plenty of them out there for less money than new. S&W made some great guns. I have lots of 'em and love 'em. However I won't buy any made after 2000. S&W went downhill bad after that. Never really cared for the Ruger GP-100. Feels clunky...

My thoughts exactly. If the S ever does HTF, I can barter ammo much better than gold.

Unfortunately the tradition Colt/Ruger plowhandle grip doesn't get along with my banged up old hands. The back of the trigger guard beats Hell outta my middle finger knuckle. 😞 For my SA fix I turned to Uberti clones of the 1875 Remington and Schofield revolvers. ;)

For SAA clones try wrapping the 3rd and 4th fingers around the grip and curl the pinky under the bottom. This gives better control and you won't have to re-adjust your hand after every shot. ;)

Written like a man who doesn't like revolvers. :rolleyes: Yes wheel guns can malfunction. And yes, when they do it generally requires some work to fix it. However, revolvers rarely malfunction and aren't ammo sensitive at all.

The first handgun I ever fired was an Army Issue 1911. Sorta explains my great fondness for 'em. :rolleyes: However the first handgun I ever bought for myself was a 4" S&W Model 19. From then on I was hooked. I've been collecting S&W revolvers for some 50 years now and have a safe full of 'em...

Interesting idea if its not too wide to be comfortable or awkward in use. However, ATF is kinda picky about what you can add to a gun. No telling what they may think of it. :rolleyes:

I'm not particularly fond of ARs in 5.56. Since I already have 4 M1As, I find no reason to even want an AR in 7.62. :rolleyes:

Smaller portions don't bother me all that much. I done got old, I don't eat near as much as I used to. :rolleyes:

I remember when What-A-Burgers were huge. I loved 'em back then. Not long ago they opened a new one near me. I was severely disappointed to find that now they're the same size as everybody else's and just as bland. 🤬

Touchy subject around my parts. Last election we ended up with a new DA that doesn't believe in cash bail. The jail now needs a revolving door. 🤬
