They discontinued the EMP Contour Carry about 2 years ago. I had one and ended up selling it.

The P99 Final Edition is on my short list. I was going to get the Final Edition since it's also in my fav color, but the price kept me away. I may see if I can get a used one in the future.

My EDC is my Echelon, and my backup is the Mc9.

I was a huge PDP guy. I've had quite a few of them over the last few years. I really thought the PDP was great until I shot the Echelon. Now all my PDP's are gone and the Echelons have taken their place.

I don't think gun oil evaporates. I also use Lucas oil and I have noticed a few dry rails and parts, but I attribute that to storing my guns with the barrels pointed down and the oil naturally drains out. I just relube my guns before the range and have no issues.

ALL firearm manufacturers (including the all-vaunted Glock) have issued a faulty firearm (or more) at least once in their manufacturing lifetimes. It happens. Send the firearm back to Springfield or don't, it's up to you. But don't get on a firearms forum and gripe about a gun without letting...
