I thought .308 and 7.62 were okay to shoot out of modern barrels stamped 7.62 or .308, but 7.62 out of an older .308 stamped barrel was a no-no due to the higher pressure.
Newest addition to the growing herd of .22 rifles is a Winchester Model 47, circa 1952-54’ish. In decent shape and shoots real well. The target is a 5 round group at 25 yds off a bag.
The sling swivel comes off the barrel and is not original to the rifle. I sort of like it and think i’ll keep...
I’ve been reading that it is not a very fun gun to shoot, especially with +P. It is not something i need but thought it may be nice to have. I thinking if i’m going to get another handgun it ought to be something i enjoy shooting.
