I had moved on from MacDill by the time Franks took over CENTCOM. I know agents who worked on Franks protection detail and they share your opinion of him.

It took more than 50 years but I am there

The collapsible stock development for the carbine is a great story. I worked on a close protection detail on Schwarzkopf several times when he was CINCCENTCOM. Also shot sporting clays at the same club as he in Tampa. It was a privilege to know him. He was a force of nature, and scary...

Do You Carry While Doing Yard Work?

Out here on the ranch, yes, there are all manner of varmints that may appear with no warning. If neighbors or family saw me unarmed they would worry.

What are you doing right now??

Critters and me fed. It's cold out there and getting colder. Went to the vault to fondle and wipe down some guns. The farrier is coming at 1pm to trim horses. If I had heat in the shop I would be in the shop, but I don't have heat in there so I will be underfoot with Mrs Greener in the house...

    Party ribs timing question

At 275° those ard about the times I would expect, pull off at 200 internal temp. I would plan an hour plus to place the wrapped ribs inside a large plastic bag and let them rest in a cooler. They will be super tender. I used to sauce the ribs for that last glaze stage but stopped doing that and...

Shadow 2 compact, or which 1911 would you recommend for potential concealed carry?

I have not fired a Staccato. I have carried and shot Sigs since the 90's and trust them, including the 229. All my Sig Legions have been outstanding shooters. I carry a SA TRP 1911 cc .45 daily nowadays but my P220 Legion is a really close second choice.

    Help finding a holster

Something to consider also is that some bigger gunshops can make a kydex holster on site using your gun for the mold. Check around
