Update: Currently at about 700 rounds (3 trips to range), 550 of Blazer 124g fmj and close to 150 of Blazer 115g fmj. So far this plate is doing great, Both plate to slide as well as SRO to plate seem just as tight as the day I installed it. Will follow up again at 1500 rounds. Could be a winner.

Maybe in the movies, real life "meat shots" head, chest etc. tend to stop, or at least slow a threat down enough that a basic louisville slugger can end the threat in it's tracks.

As far as screws go, I get them from the company that built the gun, as for loctite, I would avoid it. Use rubber o rings as stated by others.
