    1A1 Ammunition Problem

Wait a minute; You had a blow out, fired it again and had another with stock damage that SA fixed for you saying AMMO ProbleM, Then you went right back and fired more of it with the same result. Why in the world would you keep shooting that particular ammo? Kinda like burning your self than...

    9mm Mainspring Weight

I second an 11 - 12 lb spring. I felt the stock 9 pounder was too light, It is my opinion that they use a 9# because a lot of people will shoot only the cheapest low powered 115 grain loads. My preference is for 124 grain S&B, Norma etc that are in the 1181 - 1200 fps range ( or 123 grain...

    9mm Mainspring Weight

Pretty sure Springfield uses a 9# recoil spring and, I believe a 23# mainspring (hammer spring) in their 5" 9mm 1911's

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

More views of my John Culina Grips in Hawaiian Koa with tight fiddleback. They change with the angle and have an almost 3-D effect in the figure.

    Wilson Combat Mag Question

If it's loaded the top round may be moving forward. Otherwise ????? I tried the Wilson ETM 10 round magazines in my 9mm Ronin and it choked on them badly. Would not feed and you couldn't insert one all the way with a full 10 rounds and the slide closed. It would stop just short of latching...

Vietnam’s Forgotten Gunship: The ACH-47A Chinook

Companies I worked for made quite a few CH-47 gear boxes and other various gears. Before I retired I interacted a lot with the Boeing Aircraft Quality Rep. He was always trying to correct me because I still called it Boeing-Vertol. He also likes what he called my Boeing hat. I had to tell...

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

Another set of 1911 grips from John Culina. These are KOA wood from Hawaii. I have no plans for them yet but I just had to get them.

Springfield Ronin 10mm failure to return to battery

    Grip tape

I like Tractiongrip. They have it pre-cut for a 1911 and others AND it come in multiple colors and either grit or rubber. I have the grey grit tractiongrip tape on my Ronin and it blends with the stainless frame nicely. Here is a post from a couple of weeks ago that has good info and some...

    Grip tape

I see that Tractiongrips makes grip tape for the hellcat. I like theirs on a 1911 as you have a choice of colors and a chouce between grip or rubber. Their Grey matched the stainless frame on my Ronin well.

Would States Help ATF Confiscate Guns?

Wait, Illinois is a sanctuary state and Gov, Pritzger won't allow state / local law enforcement to assist the feds so what if they wanted to confiscate firearms from an un-ducumented individual?

This may be the proverbial straw

Funny how the same people that are always saying how violent and bloodthirsty the right is with their gun, 2A etc are the ones that are actually committing violence and openly calling for more.

    I switched grips

I switched the grips on my Ronin 9mm (again) Not a thin grip fan so when I got it I put these on it. Curly Myrtle with premium high gloss finish from John Culina and using Challis bushings and screws. I decided I wanted something a little darker and still with some figure for a change...
