    Hellcat Trigger

Thanks for the feedback! I looked at MCarbo, Apex and PRP but haven't made up my mind partly because of the 20,000 round test making me wonder about a need to replace more than the trigger and spring(s). and because I thought I'd like some feedback from forum users. Thanks again!

    D Day

My Dad also landed at Omaha Beach and never mentioned it until just before he went home. Never talked about the war. I was privileged to grow up in a neighborhood of War II veterans many of whom would share stories. God Bless them for their fight against tyranny. They held back the darkness a...

    Wave of the future?…..Glock Perfection

It made me laugh so thank you for poking fun at that topic and I responded in kind. I too own and like striker fired weapons as well as 1911s. I have my preference based on need but I am not polarized as some seem to be. We have come a long way from going to Sears or Monky Wards or the local...

    Wave of the future?…..Glock Perfection

There is a contingent of Glock owners (not all) who believe in Glock Uber Alles and like to bash 1911s but what will they do now? Do they dare own one? It is a Glock after all but will it have to be a safe queen brought out late at night in the moon light for wonderous examination? Is there a...

    Kimber and Springfield 1911s…

I also spent a lifetime in mfg. and I have to say we may produce less product but they will be to spec or they don't go out the door. Making inferior product not an option. All my life I saw companies that thought there was not enough time to do it right the first time but always enough time to...

reloading questions/advice if you would please?

Glad the mistake wasn't the other way around. An inexpensive lesson but you must be very careful when reloading

    Hellcat Pro anyone?

The Hogue slip on grip came-wrestled it on and I think it makes the dif my hand isn't at an oblique angle on the grip and my finger pad is right where it's supposed to be on the trigger not searching for the right spot.

    Hellcat Pro anyone?

Grip on the HC Pro is the same so I'll need the sleeve anyway. But I'm confident in my ability with the 4" barrel at 10 yds to make a head shot if necessary. Really that is my main accuracy concern. The original Cat is accurate but my old eyes at 10 yards ehhh

    Hellcat Pro anyone?

I'm thinking of replacing my HC with the HC Pro the extra length will provide more accuracy. My biggest issue is the grip is too small. My Hogue slip on grip arrives today

reloading questions/advice if you would please?

Make sure to leave us a range report including your receipe(s). FYI a few FMJs down the tube at the end really reduce barrel leading if any. Country boy pre cleaning:D

reloading questions/advice if you would please?

In 50 years of reloading I Have used many different powders and settled on WW231 back in the 80s. Work up your own load to find what your pistol likes. You will find a combo that it loves-be patient. That turret press will do good work for you. I use a case gauge for the plunk test. Use lead...

reloading questions/advice if you would please?

PS :D after you charge a tray of cases ALWAYS take a flashlight and inspect every case for the correct powder charge before seating your bullet. This simple step takes but a few seconds and will locate a double charge or an empty case and save a lot of heartache.

reloading questions/advice if you would please?

I also like WW231 for 45 ACP it meters well and is very consistent. I tried many powders and settled on WW231. Accurate is also a good powder. Also casted my own bullets. I have shot a lot of Berry's bullets over the decades and find them excellent. You could also try Blue Bullets as well-high...

    Considering Reloading Shotgun Shells

I just checked the price on it $1350 whooee! I think I paid around $300 back in the late 70s. Still it ran like new when I gave it to my friend a couple of years ago. Shot competitively and you could win cases of ammo and reloading supplies back then in the sanctioned shoots. I probably shot...

    Considering Reloading Shotgun Shells

If your going to reload much of a quantity get a progressive reloader. I used a Pacific 366 for a few decades. Well worth the $$ and the time savings.

    Where’s the Ammo!!!!!

Agree with Hans and Chance. If like me you used to go to the range and blow off a few hundred rounds each week in various calibers (I reloaded everything back then) well those days are over for me. I still shoot every week but fewer rounds. shoot a little IDPA for fun. 3-4 times a year train...
