Parents charged for "unsupervised" child at Hershey Park Zoo after child bitten by wolf

I'm with Pieter. Of course, the parents should have been paying attention and not let this happen But the fence should have been designed so that it couldn't have happened

    STK 1911

Interesting. Glocks, and most non 1911s, just don't poing straight/flat for me. I have to purposely angle my hands up

    The SIg Controversy

Personally, I definitely think there is an issue and Sig knows about it. All industries have examples of this happening A company makes a product with known flaws and buries their head in the sand It's a regular thing in the auto industry There's a reason that Lena Miculek and Max Michel left...

Things That May Make You Go hmmmmm…

My family is watching through the Waltons tv series. WW2 is going on, hasn't hit the US yet, but gas is starting to be rationed. Jim Bob, the youngest son, figured out how to make 190 proof alcohol and run thier cars on it He tries to market it to the government. They write back and say they...

    STK 1911

I find this so crazy. In my opinion, the 1911 trigger is the best design and others try to emulate it. I have seen many compare to it. I have never shot a striker fired gun and said, wow, this has a better trigger than a 1911 In fact, I have only ever shot 1 gun that was striker fired that had...

    STK 1911

Interesting. I love the grip angle of a 1911. I despise the Glock angle. Do you like the Glock, or is there a different model or design you prefer?

    STK 1911

Why? Look, I love new guns and new calibers. I love gimmicky stuff But, I just don't see this making sense. To me this is a solution looking for a problem. It's absolutely backwards...

The Army has another new rifle, the XM8 carbine

In case anyone wasn't sure I don't know much about this round. I'll have to research. If this is what our military is using, do you thing we can expect it to become common for civilian use? Or, are there too many 223/5.56 already ?

Why I Want My Gun to Fail

Just a dimlight/nigh shoot recently for our agency. It was for brand new agents, but I had to go through because I missed the annual training when I was out with a broken foot We have always trained tap rack and roll for phase 1 malfunctions (failure to fire, no obvious jam). The instructors...

Why I Want My Gun to Fail

The slingshot method is grabbing the back of the side and puling it rearward then letting it go, like you were shooting a slingshot, vs putting your hand over the top and pulling it back

That's why I love the practical pistol at mine. Like you said, the competition adds a level of stress. Ours is only $5 to shoot. $ 3 if you want to shoot again (doesn't count towards the competition) and low round count (less than 20) with one required mag change. It's fun but stress...

That's awesome. I only get to do that once per year, when our agency does a "tac" shoot. I need to get back into the practical pistol shoot at my club, that's once a month and it's a difference course every month. It's not "training" and it's less than 20 rounds, but at least it's not a flat...

    Open Carry?

I have a few times going for a walk in my neighborhood. I live within the city limits, in a neighborhood. It's a very "diverse" neighborhood. My family is probably in the minority Never had an issue I do see folks in public from time to time. Personally, I love it, and would love to see it...

Philadelphia Becomes the Latest City to Sue Glock

An M&P. One of the state agencies are going to those this years. Maybe an Echelon, or a Walther, or F&N.

Philadelphia Becomes the Latest City to Sue Glock

Sounds good to me. I work for a law enforcement agency in PA. I'd love to not have to carry a Glock as my duty weapon
