    Whats your fantasy hunt?

Hunting’ for elk in S. Utah. When I moved here from California, I traveled Ed for 10 years to get drawn for any hunt but to no avail. At 81, one more shot would be nice, plus elk meat s the best, but not holding my breath. Thankfully, I have a ‘rich’ neighbor who hunts a lot, with a crossbow...

Nazi Suicide Nuke Plan for New York?

Nice upon a time…about 50 years ago, I was the Base NBC Officer for USMCAS Yuma, and went to school at El Toro. That, the steering a ship into U.S. harbors, was one thing we discussed. Most f the time was concerned with chem and bio agents with radioactive fallout included. As an aside, back...

    Belt Carry J Frame

Bought a model 38, IIRC, the humpback Airweight, in 1971. Carried since. Also have a37 and a 60., but prefer the original. Have the semi-auto Bodyguard also. I have 2 residences;; Oro Valley, AZ,and Cedar City, UT. Both are “safe” communities which I chose, because of that factor. At 80...

So hard to find what I'm lookin for in California

Seeing as I retired in 1993, then moved to Utah in 2001, when my wife could also retire, I am most happy. My ID still allows me to carry in Cali, but I am in no hurry to return. The oldest lives in the Ventura area,so we visit every other year. There is life outside of SoCal, and jobs out...

Was the Atomic Bombing of Japan Necessary?

My take on it is that if Iran made a bomb, they would use it. In a way to say they didn’t, to be sure. A bomb on a ship smuggled into the NY harbor, along with several other harbors would devastate this country, and depending on whom was President, might not even be retaliated against.

Didn’t know an M1 Carbine could be this accurate!

Carried an M-2 for a while in the Nam…traded a Polaroid camera for it from an ARVN. As an F.O. Marine Kt. I could get away with it. Never had a problem, compared to the M-16 I found. Cinched me on the carbine. Given a choice, it is what I would still carry!

    Church attacked in Michigan

Decades ago, I had a run in with the Rev. Dr. Cecil Murray, head person at the L.A. First AME Church. Same church that President Clinton visited when he was in L.A. As a Sergeant, I had to make sure my officers were to steer clear of his church, especially during services, as we made the...

Teach your family to be careful of strangers - Stranger Danger !

Lot of that here. Tucson is a pit, full of homeless. S. Tucson is like any south end community. There are much better areas separated from Tucson, but to the north and south. I live north. Good PD. Tucson has always been the liberal hub of Arizona. However the influx of blue staters has...
