    1980’s Metal bands

That sure was easier than typing all the bands I listen to! I think there were only two categories where I don’t have something in my collection from - Black Metal and Grindcore. Only reason I have a Morbid Angel CD (Death Metal) is because I won it at a happy hour drawing around 1991...

    1980’s Metal bands

    70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, 20s….couldn’t fit all into one picture… 😂

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

Same reasons that some pay north of $100k for an automobile…or even $200 and $300k. To some (and certainly not me), $10k is pocket change.

And who knows what will happen to it (functionally/cosmetically) while in police custody. I subscribe mostly to the same philosophy as yours, though I sometimes do scratch the itch to carry one of my more well built models - usually when headed to the range.

    Shots fired at correspondents dinner

Not knowing all the facts and knowing the facts that have been released are actually ACCURATE are very different. I’d agree I don’t need to know all the facts - but I’d certainly like to know what is released is actually the truth.

Don’t forget you can no longer trust photo/video evidence either, with the capabilities of both editing software and AI.

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

Sometimes it even results in much less than you’d get for a factory gun. Would take a specific buyer to want to buy something like that and LGS, in my experience, prefer things to move on and not sit on their shelves indefinitely.

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

I think it is very true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! To me, starting with a Staccato CX4 seems an odd choice though. Very expensive base to begin your project!

Questions for those who’ve used both a Red Dot and a Holographic sight on same weapon

Yes, then I can spend hours sifting through myriad posts by tacti-wannabes on Reddit and YouTube trying to sell a product. OR I can ask the question here of people with real world experience who aren’t trying to make a buck…and amongst folks who usually enjoy discussing their gear experiences...

Gun Sights for Cameras - Hmmm, maybe I need another stand alone camera!

Wasn’t sure whether to put this here or in the lounge, but it IS a gun sight and picatinny rail - on a CAMERA. Thought it was pretty neat, why I’m sharing. https://petapixel.com/2026/04/27/new-accessory-lets-photographers-attach-gun-sights-to-their-camera/

Virginia senators want to inflict their tyrannical gun strategy on entire country

Well, that didn’t take long…what we have to look forward to after the mid terms (at least Trump won’t sign it - I think), but especially if the White House falls in 2028! https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/virginia-senators-want-inflict-tyrannical-gun-strategy-entire-country.amp

Did he say if he bought them in CA (or if that’s where parents are)? I ask because as I understand it he would have to have been planning a while to purchase that many firearms in CA. Isn’t it one at a time, you have to have permits, and one every 30 days?

Lack of Skills - Why Training is Your Friend

I wonder if he even gave consideration to the school bus behind the subject as he was shooting. Or the cars down at the intersection. He certainly has the right to defend himself, but I would think he is also supposed to consider collateral damage to innocents like the rest of us (though I’m...

Lack of Skills - Why Training is Your Friend

This was posted over on 1911addicts and I found it rather disturbing. At 2:30 in the video, officer approaches where he thinks subject is with his weapon slide retracted (so maybe empty?). Weapon raised in front of him where he should notice it. Even the beginning of video begs the training...

    Surviving an upcoming "Doomsday"

Following history, and spending the 60s in grade school participating in nuclear attack drills at grade school (not sure what my 1/2” desk was going to protect me from), i think I’m good. Though your post is a good reminder why Iran should NEVER have nuclear weapons or the ability to enrich...

Google Is Quietly Censoring Pro-Gun Websites — And It’s Working

Guess I should have added that’s from a TV show called Person of Interest that aired 2011-2016 (and still streams on Prime video - I thought it was good and watched most when it aired). It’s about an AI connected throughout the US that can access everyone’s location/info - prophetic perhaps...
