    Prodigy value?

NOT a classified ad, looking for information from the SA crowd. Admins I couldn’t find in the rules if asking for value was not allowed, only selling of any kind. If this is not allowed, please take down. Looking at possibly selling a Prodigy to a friend. 4.25”. 5K plus round count. Flawless in...

    1911 DS prodigy 4.25” issues/solutions

I‘ve purchased 2 since the Prodigy…but it still shoots too nice/too reliably for me to get rid of it, so says the wife as well :)

    1911 DS prodigy 4.25” issues/solutions

I read right past both of these… Yes, the internet is littered completely with issues with these. Some do as you have, fixed it on your own. Others, as I have, sent it to Springfield and got it back quickly, although lately I’ve read the delays are longer in getting them back. Some, just...

    1911 DS prodigy 4.25” issues/solutions

I took a similar…but different route. Sent mine back into SA for warranty..ran flawless since. But used it as my platform to learn the platform. Tuned it up, replaced the internals with EGW components…. Great pistol.

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

LOL.. If I’m gonna drink beer.. I’m not drinking any of that **** anyways…. Craft/IPA, real beer. I’m a vodka tonic guy now a days…helps with my 2XL Slim frame. LOL Thanks KF for the course correct, goes to show, a quick search is usually wrong… unless you dig in and read the fine print :)...

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

I stand corrected. In the US Modelo is represented by Constellation, outside the US, AB/InBev for distribution. Both are overseen by Groupo Modelo… In the end, and my real point was… regardless of if you boycott bud light and buy Modelo, the money is funneled up to the same source, Groupo...

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

That's incorrect. As of 2013 they own the rights to produce, distribute and market in the US... And elsewhere.

play stupid games, win stupid prizes

Not that I don’t agree with your point, but Modelo and AB brands are all owned by InBev. Along with about 20 plus other brewing companies… Mabye Bud Light should’ve taken notes from Modelo’s marketing team…

Bulls vs. Bushings: Which 1911 System Is Better?

Bull barrel all day long, coupled with a tool less guide rod.. an actual tool less, not a wire or paperclip type.

    Update: prodigy issues

You don’t see the irony there? ”A reliable semi automatic anything”… That was my point. Unsafe is being in the gun fight in the first place. Unsafe is the operator, unreliable is the pistol. Now, if it happens to go off in the holster all on it’s own without pressing the trigger, then I’d...

    Update: prodigy issues

I think you've confused unsafe vs unreliable. Call SA. Don't wait for an email. It'll go quicker

First Look: Springfield Armory Echelon 9mm

Interested/Interesting… My initial thoughts, worth less than .02.. :) Sig… I wonder about potential lawsuits, because let’s face it, this is darn near a copy of the same idea. I realize…a patented idea only needs to be changed a small percentage… but if there’s one thing we know for certain...

    New Prodigy

RLB… after 1000 to 1500 rounds, I noticed the slide action was much smoother. At/around 2500ish, I put EGW ignition in. My Prodigy has just over 5K through it, I replaced the recoil spring just for maintenance, no other issues. I’ve not noticed any looseness or other issues with mine. My only...

    New Prodigy

Yep.. Got north of 6 to 7K rounds through my X5. I honestly treat it like a Glock. If I think about cleaning it… I forget about it… after about 3-5 trips to the range, I’ll wipe it down, give it a few dabs of grease…and run it some more. I maintain my Prodigy, Staccato, and Canik a little...

    New Prodigy

I have north of 6K rounds through my Prodigy…I’m not seeing the ”loose” fit on mine. Granted, it’s a 4.25 commander… I’ll admit that my Staccato P is my go to for everything, but I’m not throwing shade on my Prodigy. It got me into the 2011 market, despite some thoughts of selling it to pickup...

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

That was the identical path I was going to take. But frankly, the Prodigy just shoots well. I’ll pick up a C2 eventually to replace my 320X Compact…but no hurry.

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

I have two P320s (X compact and X5 Legion) Prodigy, Canik Rival S and My Staccato P. All fine pistols, but none are going anywhere. If you need the cash to make a purchase, I hear ya. But unless I have a pistol just sitting there collecting dust that never gets used, I try to keep mine.

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

I’m looking at Wilson Combat wide for both my 2011s. Saw pics on 1911Addicts on a CS and C model staccato from another member. I have the Staccato P 4.4” aluminum. Both are fine pistols. Fit, finish overall on the Staccato is much, much better. Price tag worth it? To me, yes. Depending on...

First Look: Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy 9mm

@Mgar64, pure curiousity, what kind of ammo you running through it? With similar work to mine, but no DTS, all EGW internals, I’ve got north of 3K rounds without a single issue, including 400 to 500 round with Staccato mags. Only issues I’ve had were shooter induced, not locking back on last...
