Just finished the crown on my 586 the first removable pilot I felt was too small so I had Manson make me a new one it fit perfect. Will test again and do more on forcing cone if needed.

That wasn't an option even the jack hammer was struggling and the guys I had helping were not the greatest. I'm not even supposed to be digging but I couldnt bear the lack of progress!!

Hot there too I'm in AZ it was hot as heck today I was running a 2-1/2" conduit 3' deep in a building no AC digging by hand and the dirt was compacted to 98% I'm toast tonight !!

I never left it I love the 1911 platform I do have a couple plastic guns but never even shot a Glock I have XDM's and S&W's I really don't like striker fired guns.

I use a "nylon" brush one size over diameter and wrap a cleaning patch around it rub very little paste all around patch and soak patch with kroil use a bunch of kroil and run that in and out try not to go thru the muzzle too much if it's a revolver once past muzzle try to keep it in the barrel...

I polish my pistol barrels and test in ransom rest on my bullseye pistols they shoot 2" and under at 50 my barrels barely look dirty after a match at least internally. I also bought a gallon cause I use it in my custom mix cleaning solution glad I did the way prices have gone up !!

I really only use it for a initial polish on a new barrel it makes cleaning much easier afterwards. Otherwise if I buy a used rifle for example my 39A that was filthy I clean with my custom mixture then I use kroil and jb bore paste together for final clean and polish that gun will shoot 1/4"...

Just got home from Monday night bullseye match I fit a new barrel for a guy who squibbed his barrel these are his first two targets off hand. I might put in the ransom rest if I get a chance. Anyway hes happy it came out pretty well. He shot some much better targets as the match went on.

I do on occasion but here in Az not unusual mostly just throw a light Hawaiian shirt on and I'm good to go.

Someone not on this forum made a comment that my checkering does not come to points well I actually don't want that I like them flat it's only for glare reduction not grip.

Put a power custom target trigger on my 10-6 waiting for the new target hammer to show up while I was in there I fit a new over sized cylinder latch tight as a drum timing spot on.
