Lifelong gunsmith friend has always maintained that brass, aluminum, and coated rods allow for microscopic particles of carbon and such to embed in the soft rod/coating material making the rods themselves abrasive. He swears by bare stainless one piece rods and good bore guides.

I have a few glocks. Mostly gen 3 and 4. Never really been all that impressed with them. Certainly a lot of better choices now. I get the appeal of LE. Simple cheap effective. After this latest episode with California Glock will probably not be getting any more of my money.

Ya I noticed the sevens were out of stock but they still had the five and six rounders. Personally I like the six round mid mag the best. Just enough to give a full grip but not as long as the sevens. With six round mag.
