Here’s a random photo of an AEMS on a low mount…still seems kind of tall, but could just be me…looks like it might lower 1/3 cowitness.

They do, but they don’t seem like they will lower it like low mounts do for other optics. I’ll probably need to research some math to know for sure.

As long as I can find .357 Magnum similarly priced to .38 Special, I’ll stick with .357. One or other of the manuals (maybe both, or it might have been on one of the sites - Henry/Marlin, they said to use at least 158g and nothing less, to closely match the length of .357.
