    National Guard shooting

Here's what the democrats are trying to turn this into: “It is not OK, it should not be normalized, that the United States military is killing American citizens on American soil,” State Rep. Justin J. Pearson (D-Memphis)...

    National Guard shooting

Actually, I've never seen a Guardsman in Memphis with anything more than a pistol. I'm not gonna say they don't have rifles, I've just never seen one.

    National Guard shooting

Not a lot of info on this just yet. The news story pretty much covers everything that is known. TBI is currently investigating. Of course, Memphis being Memphis there are already calls of an un-necessary shooting. Along with demands for release of body cam footage. IDK if the Guardsmen have...

    45 Rowland

About 20 years ago I got to shoot a 1911 in 460 Rowland. As I recall, I wasn't real impressed by it. At least I never bothered to pursue it any further. Its seems to have fallen by the wayside these days. There's usually a reason for that. I think you would be better served with a 10mm. Guns...

Air Force major arrested on Capitol steps during protest calling for Trump/JD Vance impeachments

He threw away his career and his pension for stupid political reasons. Could possibly do time. Dumbazz deserves it. 🤬

How about a Beretta "Cheetah" converted to .32 NAA?

If you can manage to pull it off, I expect a full range report with pictures.

    Gatorade

Back in the mid-80s I got hit with heat exhaustion. I was weak as a kitten for 3 days. Couldn't go back to work for a week. I'll never do that again. When I worked for the city, every crew truck had a water cooler mounted on the bed and there were several ice machines located around the city...

    Too hot!

I really wouldn't know how hot it is out there. After spending my whole life working in open shops and outside in all kinds of weather, now my retired butt just sits in the house and enjoys the A/C. ;)

How about a Beretta "Cheetah" converted to .32 NAA?

I gotta admit that I never heard of this cartridge until now. So I took a quick look around the internet. It does look interesting with impressive ballistics, but one article said in only got 6.5" penetration in ballistic gel. Looks like its a non-starter. Currently no guns or ammo available...

    Why revolvers?

The revolver is safe, simple and effective. The whole failure drill is pull the trigger again. I dearly love the 1911, but it requires considerably more training and practice to master. Most PDs don't have the time or budget for that.

Please tell me it ain't so...

My first car was a 1963 Mercury Comet that I bought wrecked. I got some junk yard body parts and fixed it up. Then Ol' Earl slapped on his $29.95 special. Midnight Blue. The car looked great! But after a year or so, the paint started coming off in chunks. For that price you don't get much prep...

Aviation Icon and American Hero: Chuck Yeager

I read Yeager's book too. One hell of a man! (y) One reason Yeager was such a good fighter pilot was that he had 20/10 vision. No radar back then. He simply saw the other guy first. ;)

    Newbie with his first Gun

If the intruder is already in your home, de-escalation is doubtful. He already decided he's there for a reason and doesn't care that you're home. If the sight of your gun doesn't send him running, pull the trigger. Maybe a sign on the front door: "ATTENTION THIEVES: I am mute. You won't get a...

The Worst Internet Gun Fails #21 - The Darwin Awards

Actually the rules for a Darwin Award is that you have to do something really stupid and NOT survive it. If you live, you're just a major dumbazz.

I remember it very well. They ran full page ads in all the popular gun magazines at the time.

Remington's New Performance Wheelgun 22 Rimfire is Available at Dealers Nationwide

The beauty of a .22 revolver is that it'll shoot any ammo you put in it. I see no reason to shoot expensive low velocity ammo when there's so much good high velocity and much cheaper ammo readily available.

Is the AR Past Its Prime?

In 1972, Uncle Sam handed me a M-16A1. It was a POS! Damned things were prone to all manner of problems. I never did like it and never wanted one. 🤬 But in 2018, the antis were pushing hard to ban them. So I figured I might as well get one while I could. I bought a S&W M&P 15 Just to have one...

Should I Put Optics on My 1911 (or Not)?

Optics are fine on competition, target or hunting handguns where shots might be out to 50 yards or more. I'm not a fan of optics of CCW guns. Odds are they're gonna be used at close range and you'll probably end up point shooting anyway.
