    Power vs capacity

That’s why I said the chances of finding such are small, and to say someone who carries a .357 off duty. I know many LEOs who have carried a .357 off duty.

    Kimber to discontinue Revolver production

Damn. I have a K6s 3” and love it. I was really hoping Kimber would expand the line. More calibers (.22 and .32) in that frame size would be great, and I truly wanted another, larger K- or L-frame size. This is pretty disappointing to me.

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

I hate that old myth. The “don’t need to aim a shotgun” myth. Alley sweeper, room clearer, and other such nonsense. I wouldn’t want such a gun/load combination anyway. For a while, I was hearing a “rule of thumb” of 1 inch of spread per yard. This might be a little closer, but is still way...

    Power vs capacity

If concerned your caliber choice will be targeted by a crappy prosecutor, I’ve always heard choosing the caliber local PD uses is easy to defend. Granted, the chances of finding any agency still using the .357 Magnum are small. However… “Mr prosecutor sir, I was talking to a local officer...

What Was the Best Sniper Rifle of WWII?

    Hard to argue with.

    Rambo prequel

I don’t care anything about Hollywood but this grabbed my attention for that very reason. If it’s a prequel, shouldn’t it be someone without graying temples?

    Nascar: Kyle Busch has passed

I heard a thought that he had a sinus infection when he drove Sunday and the g forces COULD’VE spread infection to his brain. I don’t know if that’s even possible.

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

Oh crap. I knew that. I don’t know where my head was. I was trying to make it a big deal, opening up the loading port for smoother speed loading, but it didn’t look modified. But what about my welcome?

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

When you say you had a gunsmith “shorten and port” this shotgun, what do you mean by “port”?

    Joint Strikes In Nigeria

I hope we don’t get spread too thin doing this stuff.

    SA-35 safety and other ?

I might manage the SP-101 with something like 5-11 pants. I couldn’t pocket carry either of the other two without clown pants, and then it would tangle in my 50 tied-together scarves.

Guns for When the System Finally Falls Silent

When this topic or variations come up, the obvious common calibers get listed as the best to build around. I can’t argue with that, but I would also suggest that having some guns in slightly less common calibers might help you out. I know we’ve all seen that whenever we have an ammo...

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

Me too. When it comes to shotgun projectiles, the more contained I can keep them, the better. Maybe that defeats the purpose of a shotgun to some, but to me, it reduces one of their liabilities.

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

Thanks, Dobbinsky. Belt Fed, I should've put my feet in there somehow. That's a requirement for gun pics, isn't it?

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

The class I was in where I bought that gun was a Louis Awerbuck class. Coincidentally, he owned one of the Rhodesian A-5s with the long mag tube and matching long forend. Pretty neat.

What Was the Best Sniper Rifle of WWII?

What would I pick? Assuming the logistics of a foreign weapon wasn’t a problem? Maybe the British No 4 Mk I (T), but I might go for the Swedish M/41B. The Swedish M1896 6.5X55 base rifle starts out pretty good. It’s too bad the Swiss K-31 sniping variants didn’t come about until after WWII...

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

It’s a Remington Model 11, which is basically an A-5. For a time, Remington held the US license while FN held the European license. I bought it from a guy in a shotgun class for something like $160. It had been reblued and had three holes poorly drilled and tapped in the left side of the...

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

I had my Remington 11 (A-5) out a day or two ago and took a couple of pictures. It’s on reserve status now, but it got some use. I used it in at least a few 3-gun matches and a Gunsite shotgun class.

Ruger vs Beretta: What’s Really Going On Behind the Takeover Drama?

I’m reading Ruger and Beretta came to an agreement. Basically, Beretta can buy up to 25% of Ruger’s stock but can’t dictate any policy. Deal is for three years. Why would Beretta go for this? Aren’t they free to buy Ruger stock now? So why give up any say-so that comes with it? My guess...

    Rebirth of AR-15 Rifle Training?

I’ll go along with that, too. I won’t accept that the FM is a substitute for proper training.
