The problem with fixit sticks is the torque driver (the red bit in the photo below) in their pistol optic kit is often too wide to get to the screw holes on a pistol optic because it pushes up against the housing. You need to purchase a bit extension with it.

You gotta walk before you run. You mention this person has bad habits. Back to the basics will help establish good habits. As you know, shooting is all technique and if your technique isn’t solid you’re never getting beyond a certain point.

I get the point of the Sharps Grip Module - part of which is changeable grips. I just don’t get the point of spending the bucks and then trashing it with grip tape. I guess there’s no accounting for taste.
