Self-Steering Bullets -DARPA’s Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance (EXACTO) Program

Agreed. My point is that “high tech/high $$ may not always be the “right” answer. Let’s face it, a couple WW2 Iowa battleships with modern air and point defense gear with one at each end of the straight blowing up Iranian assets with those big ‘ol 16” rifles would be nice to have😊

Self-Steering Bullets -DARPA’s Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordnance (EXACTO) Program

I wonder what THAT costs per round? No sense in using cheap ammo when you can buy very expensive stuff. Like right now using $1 Million missiles to take out $50k targets😏.

Remember When MTV Actually Played MUSIC!

Can honestly say I never watched it-at all. By the time it began I was grown and had a life built on more than the box😏. Had a buddy who was addicted to it, but he was single, so his off duty was spent chasing women in bars and watching mtv at home😊

    Daffy Zone…..

Well there is That😏. “Hey Charley, I’ve got an idea. Let’s hang this part on piano wire and then build the machine around it”🙄

    ConcealedCarry attire

I always just smile when I see folks wax eloquent about their latest “tacticool” clothes for CC. I carry daily and have done so for nearly 4 decades. Normal dress is deep pocket jeans and a t-shirt in summer/sweatshirt in winter. Typically a pistol in a pocket holster in the strong side...

Hiking Safety: Danger Lurks with Every Step

It’s called paying attention. Too many in today’s world have forgotten (or never learned) how to do that. Too busy staring at a phone or taking “selfies”

    Life is to short

Good on you. Simple fact is we all die. To me it’s not quantity of life but Quality of life that matters. I’m 75 and have been blessed with a wonderful life. My plan is to continue to enjoy it until the Good Lord calls me, and I’m doing my best to make sure there will be no regrets or...

Big Horn Armory Takedown M89 .500S&W—Powerful Innovation

I believe that from a modern lever gun the 45/70 will give better performance at range. That said, shorter range that 500 is a hammer.

    5.7×28 vs 9mm

Gotta admit, I’ve never seriously considered. I mean 5.7 from pistol is basically .22 mag from rifle. .22 mag is fine round but certainly on the light side for a defensive rounds. I really don’t see the need for it. Too many rounds with superior. Power at there.

    Have You Seen This?

Truly a solution in search of a problem🙄. Gotta admit though it’d be darn effective-though not much fun to tote around..

Long overdue standards for any and all Universities

wow, next thing you know they’ll ne expecting students to actually “learn” in order to graduate! I think it’s a Fantastic Idea. Now if ALL institutions of higher education would do similarly we just might windd up with college graduates that can actually function in the real world rather...

    Level 10 stupid

You can’t fix stupid-and the loonie left see’s this stuff and it’s immediately “see how dangerous these gun people are”, giving them more ammo to attack us ALL..

New Digital Surveillance Tools Threaten Gun Owner Privacy

Anyone today who believes that privacy in any form still exists in our country has been in a cave the last 20 years. You doubt this? Start discussing a product you have zero interest in and watch how long it takes before you’re getting ads for the same.

    Steven’s Model 325-C

Fully agree. I switched to round ball muzzleloaders for deer 3 1/2 decades ago. I enjoy hunting, not killing. Once you drop a deer it ceases to be fun and becomes work. There’s not much challenge in taking a deer 200+ yards out with a scoped rifle (and that includes modern “muzzleloaders”...

First Ships Transit Strait Of Hormuz Under New U.S. Protection Plan

Perhaps, but if they truly want out from under the Assahola they need to ACT. And it needs to happen now. Otherwise move the whole place back to the 19th century. Taking out Karg island removes a huge amount of future income

    Steven’s Model 325-C

Yeah, despite what many believe there are few cases where the ancient 30/30 won’t do the job. Wouldn’t want it against a griz, Buffalo, or moose. But pretty much everything else in the lower 48 has repeatedly been taken with them in the past. Another plus, a 30/30 lever gun like grandpa’s...

    More magazine capacity

This. Do NOt substitute capacity for skill. Sadly I suspect a lot of people do. I’ve seen some clowns at the LGS's range who thought you were unarmed unless you had at least 15 on board get cleaned on a pin shoot by a dude with a Smith revolver😏
