My Zastava M70 .32 gooey mess came in today!

It'll be just fine. You've done everything you can to clean and lube it up. The non-chlorinated brake cleaner is a good idea. Invest in some .32 ACP +p Buffalo Bore 75-grain Lead Flat Point for "serious social work". (You won't regret that decision.)

Police Chief Allegedly Skips the Gun Raffle and Takes Home the Prize

Dobbinsky is right. This Chief is/was a "special kind of stupid". (Special Olympics kind of stupid.)

US Ban on Switchblades Is Unconstitutional, Appeals Court Rules

An excellent switchblade, Pro Tech, Buck, et. al., are great knives when one-handed opening is needed. I have carried them for years. "Slice-and-dice" goodness. 👍

My Zastava M70 .32 gooey mess came in today!

You can wash the grips in Dawn and piping-hot (not boiling) water, but you must a blow dryer on high until it is bone dry to avoid rusting the locking system inside the panels.

    America's Bolt Action in Vietnam

I understand why the US Armed Forces abandoned the .30-'06 in 1957, but the '06 had the reach. Daddy hunted with a self-loading Remington with a 22" barrel fitted with a Leupold Gold Ring scope until he passed in September of 1975. I learned at the knees of the very best. Those were, indeed...

    America's Bolt Action in Vietnam

Daddy was NRT (Navy Rifle Team). I was raised shooting rifles from the age of six (1962). I have always favored a bot-action .30-'06. The 150-155 grain Sierra Spitzers have always been a winner. Accomplished marksmen can pick the eyes out of a squirrel's eye at 800 yards. (My daddy was...

    Got my car back...

I'd like to see someone put a 5.2 (318) installed in the Dark Horse into a 1960 Ford Falcon (my first car). With a properly reinforced unibody coupe, the car would be a real speed demon.

    Got my car back...

I'd like to see that vehicle with a nice 428 for that. Properly installed (with a long-lived transmission) would prove to be a great deal of fun.

    Got my car back...

VERY NICE! If you take care of it, you can get 200,000 miles from that remanufacture.

    UPS stories again

I had an outside dog, then the city fined me for keeping my sister-in-law chained next to the front door. (It bugged the hell out of my next-door neighbor.)

What's with the European spec .32 ACP FMJ shortage?

Most self-proclaimed, self-defense gurus scream, "It won't stop someone immediately!" If you dump a magazine full of hot .32 FMJ or FPHCL in a miscreant's chest, it tends to discourage any malevolent behavior.

What's with the European spec .32 ACP FMJ shortage?

Everyone sells the 7.65mm Browning short. When loaded to 21,500 psi, FMJ bullets can, and will, handily pass through the human sternum. The longer the barrel, the deeper the penetration. (We all know how this works.) Dobbinski: I think you'll be happy with the Zastava. If you find signs of...

What's with the European spec .32 ACP FMJ shortage?

The d@mned US lawyers forced a "watered down" version of the the 7.65 Browning. This is why the Fiocchi 73-grain, FMJ "blue box" (of Nevada manufacture, BTW) has risen to the top of the .32 ACP heap. The Buffalo Bore 75-grain LFP load is an excellent bet when it comes to commercial personal...

What's with the European spec .32 ACP FMJ shortage?

This is fine for some great target practice. You need to invest in a single-stage reloading press. Carefully work up some 71-grain FMJ loads to their maximum safe pressures without sacrificing accuracy. If you are involved in a shooting, the subject of "making super-hot ammunition" will not...
