I was with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines in the North Arabian Sea, waiting to see if the hostages would be released, or if we'd hit Iran with our fleet. The Marines wanted to go ashore sooo bad. I can recall purchasing Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini targets at our local indoor pistol range back in...

RIP. We are losing our best far too fast.

I can handle a bit of Bakelite on occasion. :)

Nice! Is that an interarms import? Speaking of Walther...Smith and Wesson Walther? Those names just don't ssem to belong together on a pistol, ya' think?

aye-aye!

Sorry El Capitan, but saturday was the last day of deer season and after hunting every day and evening with nothing, I bagged a heavy 4-point around noon saturday, and have been cutting, cleaning and bagging. Got him with my .243 Browning BLR in .243. He was about 75 yards down a steep, treed...

They quite possibly had the plushest of all TP. But did they wash out that fur skin after every use?

After spending some years living in the central Montana plains with -40-degree temps and howling wind, it always amazes me how punishing life must have been for the plains Indians. And we worry about toilet paper!

Well played! How long before his tinnitus resolves?

Finally got 'er done! Stripped it all down, including ,magazine, heated every part individually with a blow dryer and wiped what I could off with rags and Q-tips. Then I soaked everything in mineral spirits for 30 minutes, then used a toothbrush to each part. Dried everything, applied CLP to all...

That's every kind of STUPID! About the gun...Why would anyone mess with the original rear sight on a 1911A1? That's near blasphemy!

Grips as well? Also, how long should I let it soak?

I'm stoked about this one. Here's a photo of it with the cosmoline I haven't worked on yet. Looks like it might be in darned good condition under the goop. I'm looking for a volunteer to come over to my place and clean the gun for me. Anyone game? :) I've looked at several videos on breaking...

My state allows swithblades, automatic knives, knives of any length and brass knuckles. Kids can even bring a folding knife to school, with a blade length restriction..I think 3 1/2" Very few gun and carry laws as well. People still have some freedom here.

Thanks, El Captian!

I think I'll be happy with the Privi Partizan, as it is loaded to Euro specs, over 2,200 PSI more than American. We'll see. Range report to follow when it all comes together. The Zastava shipped today. :)

"SOLD OUT" I hate those words! It was a chore finding the hotter Euro ammo in FMJ for the Zastava M70 pistol I recently ordered. Finding them available in large bulk quantities isn't a problem and in JHP, but a few boxes of 50 FMJ? Exhausting search. So I settled for 500 rounds (ten boxes of 50)...

I had a Jake brake on my '72 Kawasaki dirt bike.. ;)

Does Buffallo Bore make their .32 ACP with the European style extracor groove?

Yeah, I'm excited about it. I've heard that American-made .32 ACP doesn't feed as well as European, that the rim is different and doesn't have the power reuired. Fiocchi has the European specs, 73gr and runs well.
