New Prodigy - Failure To Battery

Shoot with my wife… :) If she gets lazy, hasn’t shot for a while…. She could do this with a few different pistols. Including my Staccato P and my old Prodigy.. to which, I’d drop the mag, rack, and finish off the mag without issue. Afterwards, she’d concentrate on her grip a little more and...

New Prodigy - Failure To Battery

Aguila has some lower powered rounds out there ( I know, I just bought 1500 rounds of it) for practice/range testing. It’s possible you got some of this, and the gun doesn’t like it. I also have 2K of normal Aguila on the way… Otherwise… put the factory spring back in it. If it still fails to...

My favorite 2025 purchase… Kuna. (Video)

I hear ya. But I thought it was interesting to show a 40 cal.. :)

My favorite 2025 purchase… Kuna. (Video)

I don’t think so… even my LGS, which I’m at weekly… still sells them pretty quickly when they do come in. Coincidentally, and this could be a total screw up by the website, they also show a Kuna in 40 S&W...

My favorite 2025 purchase… Kuna. (Video)

I gotta get mine back out to the range. I’m in the 1500 rounds ballpark. Only issue I’ve had is cracked mags in the very beginning. SA took care of me, I think I have 10 mags total, all have been flawless, even the replacements. Fun, accurate, reliable. I’ve run several 124gr new and...

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

Agree. I have a Bull X Pro on top mine, 24MOA circle. I use Federal Flite Control but I’ve yet to shoot outdoors to really test/stretch the pattern. Indoor range only allows slugs, I can neither confirm nor deny I may have “accidentally” put one or two down range at a 13 yard target. A300...

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

    1301 is very nice. I save a few bucks and went A300. If I were a competition shooter, I’d go 1301. I don’t believe I can outshoot the A300.

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

Do you really need…. I think that logic could be applied to a bunch :) I prefer a red dot for anything I own. The A300 with Chisel stock has a perfect, RMR mount that witnesses with the ghost ring and front sight nicely. I use the 24MOA circle on my setup. Easy target acquisition for home...

    Possible DS 1911 Mag issue.

Never had that happen in either my Staccato P or my C2, each has Atlas + springs in the mags. Factory 16 rounders in the C2 (sold a couple months ago, but mine for 2 years) 17 or 20 rounders in the P. However, I never insert a full mag on a closed chamber, always insert with locked open chamber...

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

Yep, if I was competing.. I can see the point. I’ve double tapped my A300 several times during break in, it’ll run as fast as I can pull the trigger, I have zero concerns outrunning it. Is the 1301 gas system and bolt nicer? Yes. At the price point, for me, my needs? No.

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

While common sense would tell you hearing that pump would say they FA, and were about to FO.. I don’t put much faith in that. Just like loud pipes on a bike will cause others to hear you. Nope, zero attention paid… I’d rather just click off the safety…

    Battle of the Defensive Shotguns

Yep… just went through the exercise. If competition was the goal, I was in LE, or… I was top level shooter, I would’ve gone 1301. I think it was James Reeves in a review video that said the A300 was 85% as good as the 1301, 60% of the price. Bass pro got their hooks in me, lol. 10% firearm...

    Best recommended gun cleaning kit???

I got a pile of lubricants and cleaners on the back wall of my garage work bench. I have a tackle box full of brushes, patches, punches, Allen and hex keys. Baggies full of screws. I have organizers full of springs, parts, etc., to the point I label each bin to keep it straight. Point being...

Made in the USA - Canick METE MC9 Prime

Totally agree. Optic Ready, good sights for carry, nice pistol box/transport… what they include in the box is very impressive. Good little pistol. Just didn’t do anything for me comparing it to what I already own… but if I didn’t.. :)

Made in the USA - Canick METE MC9 Prime

Rented one at the range. Ok. Not bad, nothing special, just ok. I owned a Rival S previously… I can say this, Caniks are, out of the box, have some of the absolute best striker fired triggers there are. Flat, textured safety.. very, very nice. Clean break, good take up, good reset...

    Indoor Gun Range Fees

I grandfathered in at their old rate of $39.99 for the middle package, unlimited and free guest. If I shoot twice a month (which, I certainly do) and 80% of the time, I have a guest.. it more than pays for itself. Also can rent any firearm there for free. And they relaxed their “must buy ammo...

    Kuna significant problem?

I have over 2K rounds through mine, literally.. not one single issue. 90% suppressed. No FTF, no FTE… I bore snake it every range trip, tear it down for a full cleaning every 500 rounds or so. Throw a few drops of oil here and there. Only issues I had were early mag problems of cracking, and SA...

Removing the multi-port brake from the Kuna
