    Springfield Echelon 4.0C Viridian RFX11

Gear up/Gear pack is good for the extra mags and bag, the optics just a throw-away.

    Yeah, I had a few 45 1911's, but I can't shoot them anymore so I went with 9mm

HK Shrinks the VP9: Meet the New VP9CC Micro-Compact

HK doing HK things.. Releasing a low capacity gun no one really asked for with an astronomic price tag. HK needs fresh minds to compete in todays edc world.

    Ammo shortage?

This has been all over Youtube lately, anyone panic buying? I wouldn't say that I'm panic buying, but I picked up another 1k rounds of 9mm today and about 800 rounds of .556 a few months ago. I shoot a LOT and I don't want to hit my stash too hard if I don't need to. I probably won't buy any...

    First Look: Echelon COA Pistols

I think the COA is a great option for folks that like this style of optic and offers yet another option to Echelon owners. I'm a HUGE fan of the Echelon and have owned a quite a few since they first came out. I'm hoping Springfield eventually offers the COG by itself like Sig does. I have a few...

Has the current world climate changed your daily routine?

NOT A POLITICAL DISCUSSION. With everything happening in the world, and the current rumors about possible "sleeper cells" and possible domestic attacks, has it changed your daily routine regarding your edc/bugout bag/preparedness? Do you find yourself carrying a few extra mags or that AR...

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I picked this up last week at a local Pawnshop, I ran it at the range Sunday and it was so sweet! 9mm in a 5" Garrison is a very smooth shooter, and I'm very happy with it. It has a few scratches from the previous owner but nothing I think won't buff out.

    Opinions on the Sig P320

I used to be a P320 guy. I had 3 of them and I carried and shot them regularly. I wasn't real concerned about the drop/safety issues the first round and thought they had been corrected, but then the second round of lawsuits started up and I decided I didn't have any confidence in carrying them...

How is your 1911 set up?

Started out with a stock Operator. 4 months later, I have the Operator that I want. I kept the internals stock, only adding the Osight SE enclosed green dot, VZ dirty Olive grips and picked up a few 10 round Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom mags. No more plans unless reliability issues come into...

    1911 9mm magazines

I have a few 9mm 1911's and I've not had any issues with the mags that come with the guns. I also buy the larger capacity (10 round) mags from Wilson Combat and Nighthawk Customs.

    Show off your 1911

Picked up the Operator as a Christmas gift to myself. Came with the gear up pack and got it for a killer deal. I'm very happy with it so far.

For you 1911 guys how many mags do you carry?

I usually only carry 1 extra mag, 2 if I'm going out of town or a sketchy area.

FACTORY BLEMS: ARE ‘BLEMISHED’ FIREARMS A GOOD BUY?

I bought a Blem Tisas nickel plated Tank Commander 1911 and I can't tell where the "blemish" is. Most of the time, Blemished means that there might be a slight discoloration in the finish or a small nick that no one will ever notice unless they looked for it.

The Top 10 Most Interesting Pistols of SHOT Show

The Steyr looks almost exactly like the Arex Rex Zero 2. Arex bailed out of the US market a few years back due to low market support. Hopefully the rebranded Steyr will do a little better. Glad to see the new model is optic ready.

A few questions to get me started?

Get the Canik Mete SF or SFT, you can't go wrong with either. And If you get the One Series, you'll have plenty of money to buy extra mags. Here is my One Series Mete SF with the Holosun 407K optic mounted. The finish on the gun is impeccable and the reliability is excellent. The SF is the 15...

You Need to Zero Your Pistol Redd Dot...But at What Distance?

I've heard that Holosun optics are zeroed at the factory to 45 feet. I zero mine around 25-30 feet.

    Range Report: Mod.3+Echelon w/Optics Practice 2/3/26

Everyone has good days and bad days.. There are some days I go to the range and wonder why I went, then I remember that I still had fun even if I didn't shoot very well. Looks like you had a pretty decent range day to me. Harry

Range Report: Echelon 4.5F, XD9Mod.3 Optics Practice, 1/28/26

Good shooting! There's nothing to be worried about in my eyes. You're shooting a nice group at 30 feet which is well within defensive parameters. FBI defensive standards are between 3 to 7 yards, I usually train within those distances out to 10 yards. I'll run a few Hail Mary shots out to 25...
