XDM ELITE 10MM COMPACT POOR FINISH & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

BTW...9mm with a couple of hundred rounds through it. So...the wear of the OP is COMPLETELY normal. Some might note the upgraded front sight for use with the RDS (that red pipe kept pulling my eye rather than the red dot).

    Concealed vs. Open

Not my idea of fun, but many (perhaps most?) of the people you see blatantly "doing" open carry (ie rifle in Wal-Mart) are doing so to move the needle on what is perceived as normal. When the cops are called and nothing happens, they likely view that as a win essentially an opportunity to...

XDM ELITE 10MM COMPACT POOR FINISH & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I think the answer directly after your first post demonstrated that this was indeed normal. That you had never experienced it before means it was not normal for you, which I understand. But, that does not mean it isn't normal wear.

XDM ELITE 10MM COMPACT POOR FINISH & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

That is exactly right, I think. The wear pattern will be different for 10mm and his hellcat. And who cares? it is only visible when you disassemble the firearm. I like my XD, but these are not pretty handguns. I you want that, get something made of steel to start with.

    Which CCW Insurance Program?

WA state gets no access to prepaid legal for this. Crazy. We do have a law that if you are found innocent of murder using the self-defense argument, then your legal fees are reimbursed, but that is not much help when it is happening, I am sure.

A Question to Ponder on Miscreant Control

Just curious, who gets to decide which groups are bad? (You didn't say convicted of a crime, just a member of a group.) Who gets to decide who is mentally too far gone to have the human right of self-defense? How about Brittany, should she have the right to defend her person?

A Question to Ponder on Miscreant Control

If someone isn't ok to have a gun, why would we let them operate a vehicle? The core issue is always freedom vs safety. In the end freedom isn't without costs. It isn't just the soldier that pays, it is the person that dies in a cross walk because we use cars instead of all being in trains...

Those aftermarket triggers for the Hellcat

Just curious...why not use your EDC as your main shooter? Unless you are putting 20k rounds through it, I wouldn't expect it to wear out, and generally speaking, triggers get better with each pull. Just curious.

    Concealed vs. Open

The idea of open carry has actually become more liberal in WA over the last 30 years (read more allowable, not making a political statement), which is strange in light of the move to the left in politics here. I remember when I first moved here in the 90's police would regularly harass people...

Review: Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 3.8" Compact OSP 10mm

Yeah, this is the factory setup. So, it isn't "just plopping", and the OSP requires an adapter plate for all optics, at least on the 3.8 There is an argument against iron sights with the RDS. I am no expert, so I will leave that to others.

Review: Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 3.8" Compact OSP 10mm

My experience is that the setup does not co-witness at all, it basically functions in the opposite. I recently purchased a 3.8 Elite in 9mm (OSP). I ended up removing the red insert in the front sight because all it did was distract my eye from where it needed to be. When the dot is visible, the...

Review: Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 3.8" Compact OSP 10mm

I just got mine. I am a little disappointed that it didnt include the picatinny adapter for the dragonfly. I guess I can only use it on this weapon. I would probably have purchased separately, if I had known.
