This is the only thing I can say I dislike about a 1911. However one of the many reasons I love Beretta... Simply push in on one side and rotate lever on the other and the slide comes right off. The engineers really got that right!

I agree, with the Beretta 92X Performance, the CZs, and of course Wilson Combat offerings out there I’d really want to know what puts this pistol in that category. Perhaps Wilson Combat is in a different league but once you’re spending over a couple of grand you absolutely should consider them...

Was the ones you tested Performance Center models? I haven’t measured the pull weight but if I were to guess I’d say double action feels about 5-6 lbs and single action feels 3-4 lbs. Both are surprisingly smooth. Very impressed with the comp as well, firing 357 mags feels like 38s. No...
