    Show off your 1911

Sometimes I can't leave well-enough alone. This SR looked good bead blasted, but when I started polishing, it was no return. I do love polished stainless.

What happened to flat caps in a roll? Every 5 year old should have a PeaceMaker.

    Walter ppk

I'm not actually a fan of mouse guns, and I doubt I'd pay the money for a PPK. But I am a fan of the Bersa FireStorm. It's been a keeper and very accurate at 70'. The mini 1911s are mediocre as a comparison. The Bersa Thunder is a closer copy of the PPK.

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I found some 45acp ammo for 40cents a round today.

I tried to low-ball my lgs the other day. He wouldn't take it, but he gave me a good deal on this one. I've been admiring it for a few months. I polished the slide a little. I can't wait to take it apart to polish the rest of it. It's shooting good from the box. It's probably going to be...

    New SA-35

My sights were way off, and a hammer and punch wouldn't move them. I love this cheap pusher.

    Troops to area of Israel

This world is all about Israel, we're just byproducts of what God is doing there. Sit back and watch, this is an exciting time to be living. We should always be a friend to Israel, I think that's America's destiny. Gen 12:1-3

To Act Or Not To Act: The Good Samaritan Situation

The more I think about threatening situations, the less likely I am to use lethal force for a 3rd party. Usually one life isn't more valuable than the other. Another thing to consider is can you afford to use lethal force. When firearms are involved, the law in America is not on your side...

Show off your Every Day Carry!

I've had this one for several years, I've just started to carry it. It's from NY, it required a break in period. If ammo were cheap, I'd been carrying it a long time ago.

Do you always carry an extra magazine

My two greatest fears in life is losing my health and running out of ammo. If I don't have a extra mag in my pocket, I've got a few close by.

This is my last 1911 so far. I'm grateful to have such a sweet shooting gun. Eclipse Custom

Show off your Every Day Carry!

I was looking for this Springfield Armory '35 for about 2 years. I'm glad I didn't find the early ones. I refinished it with blue, I think it's a nice improvement. It may be the last carry gun I'll purchase? I need to move the sights, but it's a sweet shooting gun.

Show off your Every Day Carry!

I'm also a Springfield Armory fan. This is the first gun that I bought just to carry. I don't carry plastic very often anymore, but it is a nice shooter. XD-GM

    German sports 22lr

I highly recommend them. I've about worn one out. I found a sale on another, it often collects dust. I've put 2-300 rounds a week through the first one, it's still doing good after several years, I'm impressed. There's no good reason to break it down for cleaning. It displasces the...

What should brand new shooter buy to cover CCW and Home defense?

    I'd recommend a Hi-Point, maybe a 9 and 45cal. Everyone needs a Hi-Point.

    1911 you gotto have one

I thought about a 1911 9mm a few times, but that almost seems perverted. I respect JMB too much to do that to his perfect design. His last design was the 9mm Browning High-Power, it's almost a copy of the 1911. They are also worth their weight to carry.
