Keep the FN 509® Midsize MRD or go with Springfield Armory Echelon™ 4.0C for CCW/ECW?

This... But in all honesty, I owned the 509 and it never really impressed me much. I've owned a multitude of carry guns over the years trying to find the right one and I was still looking when I picked up the Echelon. I really wasn't impressed when they first came out, but the Echelon grew on me...

How Turkey Is Capturing The Budget Hunting Firearm Market

Canik makes great handguns. and now they are being made right here in the good ol' USA. I love my Echelons as most of you probably know, but my Canik Prime and Mete SFT Pro are an extremely close second.

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I got a sweet deal on a used full-size Echelon that I think I'm going to use for a Mischief Machine aluminum grip module. The black Echelon: And what I want to do to it...

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I picked up the Apex Tactical Stainless steel guide rod for the Echelon 4.0. It adds a little weight and more reliability to the already perfect Echelon.

    Echelon 4.5 threaded barrel?

There is an aftermarket shop that makes barrels for the full-size but If I remember correctly, they only make the standard barrel, not the threaded version. I'll look to see if I can find the site. Edit: Fdez Werx sells aftermarket barrels but they are colored, not threaded.

    Echelon 4.5 threaded barrel?

You obviously haven't been to the Springfield store lately. There are lots of parts available for the Echelon.

    Echelon 4.0 problem

I tried swapping barrels with the full-size and the compact and I can confirm that the barrels are swapable and are exactly the same other than length.

    Echelon 4.0 problem

The barrels should be the same other than length. I wonder if they accidentally sent a Hellcat barrel?

    1911 TRP cycling problems

This^^^ I never understand people that take a handgun right out of the box and expect it to run without issues, especially 1911's. A handgun is a precision tool and should be treated as such. Cleaned, lubed and inspected often. My 1911's all run great with a thorough cleaning and being well lubed.

    Which gun would you have

I'm going to stick with my SHTF package. My Canik SFT Pro in 9mm with as many 20rd mags and spare 9mm ammo as I can carry. (Most law enforcement and military, not to mention general population carry 9mm, so it should be plentiful wherever I go) and my 16" Ar15 with as many 556 rounds I can carry...

    Do you still trust SIG?

I owned a few P320's, even carried a few for a while, and I really liked them. I ended up getting rid of them when the lawsuits came back into the picture. My confidence in carrying them was lost.

    Springfield Armory Echelon Trigger Spring

Springfield sells parts for the Echelon. Just take a look at their store. They just don't sell a spring kit yet. The spring is a tough buy. I'd put it back together and send it back to Springfield for repair. Or email HS Produkts in Croatia, they may be able to sell you a spring.

    Echelon slide lock issues

Not had a problem with my Echelons yet. Best shooting striker guns I own.

Show off your Every Day Carry!

I added the Prime to my edc rotation. I like the Prime for the extra 2 rounds, but I still prefer the Echelon for edc.
