Why is that? I get a decock only version on things like the Beretta 92 where decocking activates that safety, but decocking the XD-E leaves it in DA mode with the safety off.

Nice article. I use a 3.3" XD-E 9mm in my basic pistol and concealed carry classes. It offers a lot of flexibility to folks to carry in a number of different ways. I'm just waiting for SA to come out with a .45 ACP in the 3.8" barrel model!
