    XD-M Elite 3.8: Best EDC 9mm?

Send one to a lefty for an unbiased review. ;)

    Springfield Armory XD-E

Every setup I've seen uses the adapter place in conjunction with the cutout on the slide. If you're taking about just have a couple of holes tapped and using an adapter plate, that is going to put the red dot at a height that may or may not work. It may not have enough adjustment to zero and...

    Springfield Armory XD-E

Why is that? I get a decock only version on things like the Beretta 92 where decocking activates that safety, but decocking the XD-E leaves it in DA mode with the safety off.

I haven't done any of the measurements on those red dots, but the problem you may run into is that they are wider than the slide. Being a single stack gun, it's a little narrower than your average semi auto. You'd have to get the slide milled, and then likely get a proper adapter plate made as...

    XD mod 2?

As a Lefty, I'll have to admit that I strayed. I got a Glock 17 Gen5 for shooting in GSSF matches, and actually be being able to use the gun completely in my dominant hand was delightful. I now own three Glocks (yeah, I feel a little dirty), but if SA gets more ambi offerings, I would be one...

    Bug-Out Bag Essentials

This was my thought process as well. A CMR and a PMR would pair nicely with the shared mags, and relatively high capacity. Then my range got a CMR. Reliability it hit and miss with feeding. Since it's a rental gun, we have to use their ammo, so it could be that it prefers different ammo, or...

    XD mod 2?

I personally like the grip safety. I hope they don't get rid of the XD line. I would rather see them offer a more ambi version like the XD-M ELite. Perhaps a Mod.3?

Type of holster you use for EDC

I've been really impressed with my Hidden Hybrid Holster. I have a 2 clip for XD-S 4", and a 1 clip an XD-S 3.3" with a laser for small of back carry. It's a heavy gun for one clip though. I recently tried a couple of Aliengear Holsters. I did the cloak tuck 3.5 for that XD-S 3.3" with a...

    Springfield Armory XD-E

Nice article. I use a 3.3" XD-E 9mm in my basic pistol and concealed carry classes. It offers a lot of flexibility to folks to carry in a number of different ways. I'm just waiting for SA to come out with a .45 ACP in the 3.8" barrel model!
