    Getting the Band Back Together...

I took my first deer with a handgun using a 14” .30-30 Contender.

    Doesn’t say that on mine…

Ambi safeties do exist. Have existed for quite some time time. Just sayin’. Welcome to the forum.

    The return of the PT-58!

I am quite the opposite; 1 Tracker .357 that was out of time in less than 200 rounds, and a PT92 that had an action that felt like it had been sitting in a bucket of sand. I see no point in giving them a third chance.

    The return of the PT-58!

I like the concept…most any other manufacturer, I’d be interested.

Smith & Wesson Model 5904: 1988 All-Metal ‘Wonder Nine’ Still Shines

645 was 2nd generation…but still, they typically had pretty good triggers. You may have gotten an odd one.

Smith & Wesson Model 5904: 1988 All-Metal ‘Wonder Nine’ Still Shines

    I’m down to 2…my 5906 and a 1076. I had a 645/4506 transition model, a 3913, a 6904 and a 1006, but they got traded off over the years.

Smith & Wesson Model 5904: 1988 All-Metal ‘Wonder Nine’ Still Shines

I will say; the Gen3 S&W’s had, by far, the best DA/SA triggers out of the box of all their contemporaries; Sig, Beretta, HK…none could beat it. Just smooth in DA, light & crisp in SA.

That looks like a hell if a lot of fun.

    My RIA Double Stacked 1911...question?

You’ll need to find something that will accept a full-length rail and an optic.

    Which Doesn’t Belong and Why

Blazer is notorious for not crimping their cases; bullet setback is not uncommon at all (and yes, your speculation about the boxes being dropped would definitely cause it). As for the squib? If it went pop, the primer went off…odd that there was no powder ignition, though.

    A2 is widebody/doublestack.

    My RIA Double Stacked 1911...question?

Nice pick up. I think you’ll enjoy that quite a bit. As for the model #…I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Probably just a typo.

    Springfield Armory Revolver

The M1917 (same model # from both S&W and Colt). I don’t think Colt really continued making New Services in .45ACP after WW1; S&W did continue to make their M1917.

    Which Doesn’t Belong and Why

That’s a kaBOOM just waiting to happen. I’ve seen it from time to time in various calibers, loads, and manufacturers. When I find them, I chuck them. It’s a perfect example of why you should pay attention when loading your magazines.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office allows officers to carry something other than Glock

Foot pounds are, for all practical purposes, useless in judging handgun effectiveness. Placement & permanent wound channel are what matters.

    Springfield Armory Revolver

I’ve got a number of S&W 625’s and 325’s (lightweight). .45acp out of my 5” 625-5 is pretty fun. I just use a couple of short dowels to remove empties from the clips. A lot easier…or get the polymer clips. Those are a breeze to load/unload.
