Back in the early 2k's I hit some financial difficulty and sold a bunch of guns. Among them was a perfect (and I mean fk'in PERFECT) S&W 19-3 with a 3ish" BBL. Wooden grips. I cried the day I sold it. I cry when I think about the day I sold it. Hell, I'm crying right now. Never should've sold that gun.
Edit Looked like this, but pristine. Not a mark on her.

Good grief…some of you act like guns are sentient. Never understood that particular flavor of animism…
They’re a nothing but a commodity; sell at will. Sure, I have a few that I would keep solely for sentimental value, but…offer me the right price on pretty much any gun I own, and I’ll likely let it go.

I've sold a few, traded a few, and bought a few. But the ones the ex took in our divorce still grinds my gears to this very day. She took my favorites simply out of spite and most likely gave them to her family members. Because cost prohibits, and changed laws, I'll never be able to replace a few of them.

When he died (I was 2) she sold it, along with all his tools, to a junk collector for $20.I've sold a few, traded a few, and bought a few.
