10mm not cycling properly

I recently purchased an xdm and finally found some ammo for it and took it out to the range but ran into a bit of a problem about every third round the bullet wouldn't cycle through and would get caught up I put a springer precision 170mm base pad on it and didn't know if that was possibly the issue I was using blazer brass and haven't been able to find anyone with similar issues so I didn't think it was the ammo

Sounds like a magazine issue. You said you changed the base plate. Thats the common denominator. Change the base plate back and/or try a different mag is where I would start.
