10mm Project

So in the past I had simple ordered a barrel and RSA for in 10mm to be used in my Glock 21 (.45 acp). After doing a little more research it looks like the .45 slide is not the best option for running 10mm through it. The frames are the exact same(?).... supposedly. anyway I finally broke down and ordered a 10mm slide, and all of the specific internal small slide parts. I am still waiting on a red dot to arrive and a co-worker is donating sights for this. Once all is together I will (should) have a 10mm pistol. Here is hoping that I actually like shooting 10mm. I think I do. I haven't shot it a lot.

The Rear (chamber end) of the 10mm barrel is narrower than the slide opening in a G21 slide, and a G21 barrel is too wide for a G20 slide.

The G20 barrel will drop in a G21 slide will not have proper lockup.

10mm barrel in a G21 slide.

Just get a conversion barrel or the proper slide & extractor.

I know it wasn't smart but I have shot a few .40 S&W rounds through a 10mm handgun, the cartridge just has to headspace off the extractor instead of the case mouth.
If you have a S&W 610 10mm revolver, you can shoot .40S&W through it, but if you have any Ruger 10mm revolver, Ruger doesn’t recommend it like S&W does, I mean you use moon clips for both guns….never figured Ruger out on this

I don't understand why Ruger would say that either unless they think if done enough it might cause a ring or ridge in the cylinder that could cause an issue with the longer cartridges. I don't have a 10mm revolver. I shot them out of a Colt Delta Elite. I think just one magazine just to satisfy my curiosity.

I reeeely want a BREN 10, ever since the Miami Vice days. That being said a Glock 20 is the easy button for 10mm.

For the life of me I cant imagine why CZ hasnt come out with a CZ75 in 10mm, since they already have a 45acp frame. It wouldnt be a true BREN but it would be close enough for me (steel DA/SA with a thumb safety).
