Right next to the P51 the Bf109 is number 1 in my book. I love flying the Bf109 in any simulator or video game. Regardless of their flawed ethics the engineering is second to none.

I seem to recall reading some yrs ago something about Joachim-Marseille possibly being victim of a deliberate sabotage/assassination effort. But I don’t remember any details or whether the evidence was more than speculation or comic book level tales…

The proper spelling of his name is Hans-Joachim Marseille, not Hans Joachim-Marseille. In other words, the 'double-barreling' applies to his given name, not his surname.
